Re: Any servers/games running yet?

Hey mates,

I downloaded the latest version of the tp-client for mac, and after installing it and the requirements, i
cant seem to connect to any server... here is what i get for trying to connect to each server, using guest <at> tp
and guest as username and password:
----------------------------------------
Server: demo1.thousandparsec.net
The client connected to the host but could not login because the username of password was incorrect. This
could be because you are connecting to the wrong server or mistyped the username or password.

Server: demo2.thousandparsec.net
Connection Refused

Server: thousandparsec.net
The client connected to the host but could not login because the username of password was incorrect. This
could be because you are connecting to the wrong server or mistyped the username or password.

Server: llnz.dyndns.org
Operation Timed-Out

Server: 64.251.14.227
Connection Refused
----------------------------------------
So, any suggestions?

------------------------
Cheers,
        seth

I can connect just fine with demo1 server. I guess that when you see a
message like this you should first create an account on that server. For
this use the New button in the Connect dialog. After you create a new
account you should have no problem connecting.

I hope this helps and welcome to Thousand Parsec.

Which client version are you using? The pre-compiled binary from the web
or did you download the latest development version?

I would recommend checking out the "metaserver" which can be found at
metaserver.thousandparsec.net

It should list all the currently running servers and what is happening
on them.

It is a bit weird that the guest account doesn't work. I'll get Lee to
look into it. However you should be able to create an account by
clicking the new button (as JLP said). You should then be able to Login
with that account.

This is odd. I will check it out.
