[pio-develop] Admins: please allow subversion writes

Hi,

I'm having trouble writing to the svn repository. According to the site, I
don't actually have write permission (and never had it either). So far it
always worked, so I suppose that was a bug. However, it seems to be fixed
now, which means I really can't write anymore. Can an administrator please
allow me (and probably all other developers) write access to the repository?

This should be possible throught admin->subversion, and then in the
"permissions" paragraph, "permissions option is now provided to totally block
developer repository access".

Thanks,
Bas

Hello admins,

Also I am getting the 403 error. [1]

SourceForge has changed something in their configuration, and
consequently disabled all Subversion access.

Could you reenable it?

[pio-develop] Extra release needed?

Hello all,

Directly after I released the 0.9.63 tarball, Tristan Thiede
discovered a bug in pioneers-server-console [1] which affects all
games that are started from the console, and (indirectly) all games
started from a metaserver. Games started from the graphical server
are not affected. The bug can be easily fixed [2].

I think this could be reason to release Pioneers again (the following
release will probably be at least a month afterwards), otherwise each
distribution will receive bugs, or need to include the patch
themselves.
Maintainers, what do you think, should I release Pioneers again (for
the third time in a week)?

Regards,
Roland Clobus

I can integrate the patch into the FreeBSD port easily, so it's not
necessary to release another tarball (for me).

I can also make a new debian package including the patch, but if that's a good
idea, then IMO it's also a good idea to release a new tarball.

Given that the server-console seems to be completely useless from this bug (or
does it work when not giving the -v switch?), or at least when used in
combination with the meta-server, which probably is the most usual approach, I
think it is a good idea to release a new version.

Thanks,
Bas

When the -v flag is not used, then the number of victory points to
win defaults to 10. Still, it's not good.

I can also integrate the patch directly into the Fink package, but I
agree with Bas: if it's necessary to patch all of the distributions,

Re: [pio-develop] Extra release needed?

Knoppix 5.0.1 shipped May 30th, and Klaus said he
would put Pioneers on the DVD version. Don't know
if that happened (I'm still downloading), but we may
have just dodged the bullet. Pioneers 0.9.63 only hit
Debian on June 2nd.

Yes! Pioneers 0.9.61 is shipping with the latest Knoppix DVD.
I'm especially happy because this is what I run at home.

If you look in the list of after 'Join public game' you'll see the
public games. There possibly are more games running, but they have
not been made public.

I think you meant 0.9.55 :-)
If you install the package 'pioneersai', the computer player can be
added to game. If this doesn't work, please open a bug report on
https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?group_id=5095&atid=105095
If you run a private game, please don't forget to set 'register at
metaserver' to 'no'
