Beta 4 Release

We still have not made a release of Beta 4. If no one wants to handle this release, I will do it tomorrow.

so you will disabled the market? guess that's the best we can do at this point.
any further delay is annoying.

Re: Beta 4 Release

Market exchange is disabled right now. I just tested that, and its still disabled in the GUI. This is correct. I don't see what the problem is. We need to release. The broken features of the market where removed from the GUI a long time ago.

Re: Beta 4 Release

I have tested and confirmed that the markets are working as designed for this release. With the bug fix to fix the crash, they cause no problems. I have officially released Beta 4. We need to begin making packages for it now.

Re: Beta 4 Release

There are two things I haven't been able to do for this release. I didn't create a Windows version, and I couldn't update the main page of the wiki. Otherwise I uploaded it and it seems to work fine

Re: Beta 4 Release

When testing with Leo, we had several network-game related problems. As far as
the webhg shows, these bugs have not been fixed. If we have released beta 4
with them I am afraid that we'll have tons of bugreports.

What is the status about this?

Steph

P.S.	We should push changes from beta 4 back to default now.

Re: Beta 4 Release

I have tested the markets and they are neither causing crashes nor failing to do what they are supposed to for this release, so I do not know what the problem is.

Also when you put a message about a release delay on the download page, don't state the internal reason for the delay (like the reason being markets). This does not concern the people who are interested in the game at all.

Re: Beta 4 Release

I have re-released the Beta 4 release, with this bug fix. There are a few things left to be done:

- Add the news to sourceforge
- Update the front page of the wiki (who has a wiki account that can do this?)
- Make the windows, mac and linux releases
