ubuntu font family

Hi,

Ubuntu Font Family is now public.

And they just couldn't resist reinventing the wheel, of course.

I don't think they reinvented the wheel; the wheels available are not round.

This is the master distribution of the Ubuntu Font Licence
https://launchpad.net/ubuntu-font-licence

This licence is derived from the SIL Open Font Licence (OFL) 1.1. The
Ubuntu font licence is an interim licence which is intended to merge

Funding the next round of development!

Hi,

Since Pierre Marchand and I worked hard on the OFLB site in May, very
little has happened to develop the site.

As many of you may have heard, I am consulting for Google on their Web
Fonts API project. Once I get my first paycheck, I'd like to spend
some of it on OFLB development.

Would anyone else like to also chip in?

Web Font Awards

Hi,

The www.webfontawards.com is hotting up! I hope a site using a libre
font will win something :-)

If you are using web fonts, enter it now :-)

Cheers
Dave

Re: Web Font Awards

Re: Funding the next round of development!

Hey,

better search outside funding I think

I mean OFLB depends on our time would be kind of double if it would also depend on our money :)

http://www.kickstarter.com/

could be an idea
I like the concept of crowdsourcing and I think the websavvy crowd is into fonts

or maybe
