can't replace files

Has anyone had the problem where you cannot replace a file? I need to
replace a zip file containing my fonts, so I click on manage files, and
then click on the link that says replace the file. I then upload the new
zip file. But when I actually download the zip file to test it, I
discover that it has not been replaced. Does it just take time for the
file to actually get replaced?

BTW: replacing files is packager-hostile, please use versionned archives
with different filenames for every release.

Re: can't replace files

Yes, this is true...we need a better way of tracking versions, but for
now, this approach listed below is the best...don't delete history!

Does that mean that I should not use the replace file option, and
instead just add files each time; or that I can use the replace files
but instead of replacing the file with the same name, use different ones
each time (Thoth.8.zip, Thoth.9.zip, etc)?

Thoth-1.0.zip, Thoth-1.1.zip ... Thoth-2.0.zip (with the version being
synced with the font metadata version value) would be mighty nice.

Wiki blocking edits again

Hi,

The wiki is blocking all edits again, thinking I am coming from 127.0.0.1 :-(

BTW, thanks to the OFLB contributors who helped clean up the wiki from
recent SPAM attacks.

If someone with a little time of their hands could tweak the frontpage
of http://openfontlibrary.org/ to better reflect the status of the
project if would be brilliant. I'm currently busy with packaging the new
open fonts recently released.

I'd suggest:
- doing a s/public domain fonts/open fonts/
- doing a s/OFL.o/OFLB/
- mentioning the ##fonts channel
- archiving the old logo contest news

Cheers,

Fwd: [Scribus] ADF fonts new release

:)

Subject: [Scribus] ADF fonts new release
To: scribus <at> nashi.altmuehlnet.de

 Hi
The ADF fonts pack V1.08 is available and only containing work
derived from ghostscript PS fonts. I decided to edit my own stuff
under GNU General public License. So the Baskervald family can be now
downloaded under this license. The others families will be comming
soon... Next year.

 http://pagesperso-orange.fr/arkandis/ADF/

 Other stuff with this up-date:
After 6 months of work, the Gillius families are availables under two versions:
 - GilliusADF is a purified version of GillSansMT, especialy in order
to make publications with a clear rendering, changing of the
traditional Arial or Helvetica uses.
 - GilliusADFNo2 is much closer to the GillSansMT than the first, and
make to be a real alternative without the aim to copy the original.

 Under development and for 2008:
 - An Unicode version of GilliusADF (hi cedric) in OTF
 - Berenis No2 is finished and was theoretically to be published with
this update. However, I would like to make some adjustments before...
 - Fenelris, Libris, Romance, Tribun after a general revision.
