Re: Problems with DejaVu Sans and Converting word into Adobe pdf
Thanks,
but the problem is, the Adobe software breaks down, when I have any
DejaVu-Sans in the text. So I can only use DejaVu Serif, when I want to
convert Word 2000 into Adobe pdf 6.
The problem is, DejaVuSans has something in it, which doesn't cooperate
When I have the testtest "
TesttextDEJAVu-Sans: TEST ὨὨ <at> "
The message of the pdf Software is:
%%[ ProductName: Distiller ]%%
%%[ Error: DejaVuSans not found. Font cannot be embedded. ]%%
%%[ Error: invalidfont; OffendingCommand: findfont ]%%
Stack:
/Font
/DejaVuSans
true
/TTE1BFB2A0t00
%%[ Flushing: rest of job (to end-of-file) will be ignored ]%%
%%[ Warning: PostScript error. No PDF file produced. ] %%
But when I use DejaVu Serif,
Testtext-DEJAVu-Serif: TEST ὨὨ <at> <at> <at>
it works:
Kind regards
Chris

Hello,
When I want to convert a word-document into pdf with the adobe distiller
or the adobe acrobat 6.
it doesn't work, when there are DejaVu Sans letters in the Word-Data
like Ԡ and ԡ .
Open office works well when making pdf.
Will this be corrected in the new edition too?
I've just created a pdf chart of DejavuSans.ttf with fntsample:
fntsample -f DejaVuSans.ttf -o DejaVuSans.pdf
you can grab it from the following link:
http://alioth.debian.org/~zinosat-guest/DejaVuSans.pdf
it looks right to me: please see if it works for you
regards,
Davide
