About the Romanian diacritics
Hello there, I've visited your project's webpage and tried out your fonts. Very nice idea! I would like to contribute in order to get the Romanian diacritics supported in the DejaVu collection of fonts. I've worked with FontoGrapher some years ago for a brief period of time and I am somewhat comfortable with fonts, Romanian diacritics and other fontastic issues. I've just installed FontForge in order to grasp the basic notions of using it for this purpose. I've managed to create one more diacritic in one of the fonts in minutes. I'm not sure I'm doing things right but it seem to work quite fine (my FontForge binary segfaults sometimes, but other than that seems fine). In order not to duplicate the efforts can you please tell me what's the progress on working on Romanian diacritics? I've read the mail one co-national of mine sent it to this list requesting support for the Romanian diacritics. I would like to clear the facts a bit. The required characters (for now) not present in DejaVu 1.2 are: Ă = U+0102 LATIN CAPITAL LETTER A WITH BREVE ă = U+0103 LATIN SMALL LETTER A WITH BREVE Ţ = U+0162 LATIN CAPITAL LETTER T WITH CEDILLA ţ = U+0163 LATIN SMALL LETTER T WITH CEDILLA Other required (but not used much yet because of a number of complex and stuppid issued) are:(Continue reading)
