Thank you for providing a reason, however inadequate.

An apology, this time from me, is obviously in order; foolishly, as you seem to be able to give insult, I
thought you'd also be able to take some. I was wrong. I apologise, I did not realise you needed the kid glove
treatment. Now I know better, I'll obviously bear that in mind.

I hope we both learn lessons from this exchange, for me, the first in years, that has so obviously and so
clearly gone 'so wrong'.

I am sure intelligent list members realise who threw the first proverbial punch, and who ran away, from the
proverbial fight they started, when they got one or more, back.

Oh I doubt that. The first one you seem to have come across (that you did not select, as it seems you do), and
insulted, seems to have made you run away. Readers, can, and will, draw their own conclusions.

Yes,
there is no possibility to get a server or other mobiles as immobiles goods
secured up to a 100% security against to get stolen and this is just one foot
of data and service security. The same way there is no server 100% secure
against fraud over the network, except you disconnect all network cables and
run your own inhouse power supplies not connected to any data network.

But it still makes sense to do all possible to get the security as high as
possible and a suitable location (as there are huge differences from country
to country as NOC to NOC) is a major step within this issue.

No,
even gold is not "lawful" to anyone who do not owns and run a gold mine or
field. If, then there are only a few gold fields given to their owners or
miners based on a fair law open to anyone with the same chances.

On the other hand even a significant amount of the gold today was
"distributed" under "unlawful" cirumstances in the past or history which
leaded to a unfair situations even today.

Gold is as "fair" or "lawful" as far it's value seems independent from local /
regional currencies but even this is not correct at all as the gold values
depend highly from psychological factors without any socio oeconomic base
behind. That there is currently more gold on the market then physically
existing is just one another factor which leads to unfair market

[gsc] FYI, PKTP Ver 0.04 released

PKTP Ver 0.04 source code is now released.

For those using this software to provide better transactions in your
community please run the new version as there are some bug fixes.

For users you may now specify a specific amount of metal to a
destination account from a voucher without having to do any signing
yourself. see https://fincryp.no-ip.info/voucher.html

For merchants this should now make it easier to take payments for
shopping carts, vending machines or whatever.

For those wondering if this is the big fancy exchange feature
release that was coming at the end of 2010, sorry no. I am
seriously behind schedule on that and still have plenty of TODO
piled up.

Best,

"The man who owns a slave, or lives by exploiting others, whether slave or not, is not himself a free man. He is
a man who must look over his shoulder all the time, in fear. True freedom lies in a deep concern for the
freedom of others, and if this is accepted it should make every man, out of pure selfishness, the ardent
devotee of the freedom of his neighbor." -Leonard Wibberly, 1776 - And All That (1975), p. 72.

Re: AW: Re: [gsc] Prince Charles is an observant man - he studies self-organizing systems

Sherr and coworkers reported in 1941: "The products of the transmutation
of mercury by fast (Li+D) neutrons were investigated. Three radioactive
gold isotopes were found to be formed by the n-p reactions: 65-hour
Au198, 78-hour Au199, and a new unassigned electron emitter with a
period of 48 min." See R. Sherr, K.T. Bainbridge and H.H. Anderson
(1941) Transmutation of Mercury by Fast Neutrons. Phys. Rev., 60:473–479.

Perhaps that's how alchemists made gold, with the Philosopher's Stone
being a source of fast neutrons. Also, the fact that 198Au and 199Au
are radioactive (beta emitters) would account for the belief that
alchemists' gold was cursed.

Re: [gsc] Watch out for changes at LR!

Kevin,

After thinking about this a little more, yes, I do see a similarity to what others have done before them.

I think it was INTGOLD, which turned out to be "ain't gold" or anything else, which suddenly started
requiring lots of KYC from their customers to make withdrawals just before they disappeared with
everyone's money.

I can't remember what Osprite did nor Evo in this regard, but this would be a ploy to reduce withdrawals if
they are having major cashflow problems.

However, I have heard rumors they have obtained a CR banking license, and, if this is true, they will
eventually have to implement all of CR's draconian regulations.

It's a nightmare here for anyone to open a bank account anymore, it requires REAMS of paperwork and expense
hiring accountants, etc., and then when a wire comes in some of the banks make you do it all over again,
meaning your whole account is frozen for about 2 wks while the bank's slow bureaucracy gets around to
looking at your paperwork.

Not all banks here are that bad yet, but that's the way things are going, and CR is going to someday regret it
when the foreign investors decide getting money into and out of the country just isn't worth the hassle.

I did give LR a heads up on this issue when they first opened, but they brushed off my advice in a very arrogant
and insulting way.

Just like the folks at e-gold when they threatened to close my account for telling then they better get their
butts out of the USSA, but they retorted that they had "complied with all laws and been in touch with
appropriate agencies, so all is well," only to discover that the USFEDGOV is a bunch of liars and thieves
several years later.

Sadly this isn't just banks in CR; quite a lot of countries are like
this, especially where wires in USD are concerned. I once had an
offshore commercial banker tell me that on received wires, not only
would they demand standard source of funds documents, but they would
also contact the sender and demand source of funds info for *their*
money! Funny thing, we decided not to open an account for our business
there.

Ironically, US banks do not work this way. Documentation is typically
demanded only after the fact if there's something suspicious about the
transaction, e.g. it's something well outside the normal pattern of
activity for the account. Your balance is never over $10k, and suddenly
you get a 7-figure wire. "You got some 'splainin' to do, Lucy!"

Non-US banks with correspondent relationships to US banks are being
strong-armed into a ridiculous per-transaction compliance regime, as a
condition of maintaining their correspondent accounts. What a stupidly
magnificent incentive to encourage other countries to abandon the use of
the dollar! Surely not an outcome worth whatever additional tax
receipts may result from such policies.

The inverse parallel with airport security procedures is striking. Some
countries' airports, such as Israel, focus on identifying those

Yes, I have done the same thing. If a bank proves to be real difficult to work with before they have your money,
just imagine what they will be like once they have it! And the outrageous demands won't calm down, they
usually just escalate.

What will eventually happen, and maybe not so eventually now, will be a shunning of the USD in favor of

[gsc] Silver Eagle Sales

US Mint Silver Eagle Sales

Bill,
... the US Mint's 1 oz silver eagle sales set an all time monthly sales
record of 6,422,000!
Gary

Michael Krieger notes:
Subject: 6.4 Million SILVER EAGLES SOLD in January

Wow is the only word that comes to mind here. The mint just updated its
January sales. This is nothing short of amazing. The prior record was
4.2 million in November. And the paper silver price in January DECLINED
on the crimex. There is a massive physical shortage developing. Get your
hands on these things while you can. We may be days or weeks from GAME
OVER on the dollar.

Re: [gsc] Watch out for changes at LR!

It would be nice for a real anonymous banking system and/or method or
receiving payment to exist for legitimate businesspeople who have no
interest in providing documents to banks and/or e-payment companies.

Guatemala allegedly has bearer bonds, but I have some doubt about the safety
and security.
