owfs on Sheeva plug, Ubuntu 9.04, Jaunty

I am running Ubuntu 9.04 (Jaunty) with kernel 2.6.34.4 on a Sheeva
Plug and am trying to install owfs-server
I added
deb http://owfs.davromaniak.eu/ ubuntu jaunty
to sources.list but when I update I get
Failed to fetch
http://owfs.davromaniak.eu/dists/ubuntu/jaunty/binary-armel/Packages
404 Not Found
Does that mean I will have to build it myself?

Progress so far - I have plumbed into the Aerial circuit that my house
is wired with successfully (at least for a minimal system).

The first point to note is that the wall sockets with the coax
connector do not connect straight through to the lead (at least mine
did not). There are capacitors in series, so the first thing to do is
short out the capacitors on the back of the socket. A trivial
operation assuming one has a soldering iron.

Having sorted that I have connected my PC to one socket with a DS18B20
in another at the opposite end of the house and it appears to work
fine. I don't know the exact layout of the wiring but it must be at
least 30 metres. Only a very simple network so far but a good start.

Hi Colin.

The reason is "simple", I didn't compiled packages for Ubuntu 9.04 on ARM.

By the way, I was not aware about this.

So I'm compiling packages for ARM.

Re: owfs on Sheeva plug, Ubuntu 9.04, Jaunty

Hi again Colin.

Now it's good for Jaunty on arm.

I will try to compile for other versions of Ubuntu later this week.

Thanks.

Dear Cyril,

What is about linaro (http://www.linaro.org/)

Their OS is based on ubuntu. Is it possible to use your repo with linaro? For my case, linaro works much better than ubuntu on Beagleboard-xm.

I think it will work, but I never tested it.
