Checked with new oscillator and the clock works fine :)
I must have overheated it while i was preparing the leads for soldering.

Fwd: Website issues

It works now, but I don't know why. I'll discuss with our hosting service the recent problems.

Hello!
Same here. PHP is an evolving product. We'd need to know what release
the hosting entity is using versus what style our site is written in.

Then we'd need to know what web server is being used to serve these
pages. It's probably Apache on an example of Linux or a BSD
derivative. (A polite way of saying that the actual server is running
FreeBSD, or NetBSD or worse OpenBSD.)

Maxim site is having an issue

Hello!
It seems the Maxim site is having issues. I had planned on seeing if I
have the recent datasheets for the I2C connected part for mastering
One-Wire parts. (Not for the things OWFS does, just in general.)

Well it stopped after few minutes and I can't get it working again. I
don't know what's wrong.
Here's what I do.
After power up
echo "1" > running
cat running returns 1
echo "" > date
cat date returns the date&time I've just set but the time does not advance
in another read.

I have Vcc pin connected to power.
http://datasheets.maxim-ic.com/en/ds/DS2417.pdf on page 4
I'm not sure but is it possible to check if the oscillator is actually
running/connected?
I mean the 2 OSC bits.

Does the oscilators case should be connected to the GND?
I use a "clock oscillator" that I bought in a local electronics store not
the special one recommended in datasheet.

I also have ds1907 and this one works fine.

Did you try reading from uncached?

Yes all commands are invoked from uncached directory.
