Re: segfault in owhttp 2.8p2 accessing BAE /910

Here are the commits:
http://www.owfs.org/statcvs/commitlog.html

The transition from CVS to SVN doesn't seem seamless based on my
reading. I'm willing to use a new tool, just not to researching and
performing the transition. Any volunteers?

By the way, I see the USB error and have a quick test case. I'm
working on a fix. It looks like reading temperatures can trigger it.

I have a cronjob which update the pages at:
http://owfs.sourceforge.net/statcvs/2010-11.html

The view-source links works correct there.

Busmaster LinkOEM and BAE910

Hi,
Started to explore the BAE910 device.
Using owserver (2.7p7) and owshell.

Works fine when using busmaster DS9490R but with LinkOEM (http://www.ibuttonlink.com/linkoem.aspx) i can not see the extended properties that the BAE910 exposes under subdir "910".

root <at> OpenWrt:~# owdir /uncached/FC.00000000007A
/uncached/FC.00000000007A/address
/uncached/FC.00000000007A/crc8
/uncached/FC.00000000007A/family
/uncached/FC.00000000007A/id
/uncached/FC.00000000007A/present
/uncached/FC.00000000007A/r_address
/uncached/FC.00000000007A/r_id
(end)

tested both with owserver link emulation (owserver --link=/dev/ttyS1) and normal tty emulation (owserver -d /dev/ttyS1)

Is this a limitation in owserver, LinkOEM or BAE910?

Regards
/Par

USB device disconnecting on version 2.8p3

Hello,

I am currently working with version 2.8p3 and encountering the following error.

DEFAULT: ow_ds9490.c:DS9490_detect(269) Unclear what <> means in USB specification, will use first adapter.
DEFAULT: ow_usb_msg.c:DS9490_open(265) Opened USB DS9490 bus master at 5:5.
DEFAULT: ow_usb_cycle.c:DS9490_ID_this_master(191) Set DS9490 5:5 unique id to 81 82 49 2A 00 00 00 5F
DEFAULT: ow_reconnect.c:TestConnection(61) Failed to reconnect DS9490 bus master!
DEFAULT: ow_reconnect.c:TestConnection(61) Failed to reconnect DS9490 bus master!

The problem does not seem to occur in version 2.8p2.

It seems to occasionally glitch like this, but the command that seems to do it without fail is a "cat fasttemp" on a DS18B20 temperature sensor, family code 28.

After issuing the command "fasttemp" I am disconnected from the USB device with the error above and I have to kill OWFS and restart it for it to start working again.

I am using the command "./owfs u --foreground $HOME/owfs" to startup owfs.

I have compiled with and without --enable-owtraffic, and does not seem to make a difference, and I only seem to be having this problem after upgrading to version 2.8p3 to take advantage of the "owtraffic" option.

Thanks,
Allan Drassal

Very helpful, thanks!
But the links to the sources there seem to be broken, maybe it wants to
point to
http://owfs.cvs.sourceforge.net/viewvc/owfs/owfs/...

I'll stay tuned regarding USB..

best regards Michael
