If you have specific questions then I am sure someone here could help.
If you wish someone to just do it for you then you are into commercial
consultants see

Re: Exchange rate Problems after update to 4.07.09

*Hi, Filipe Ferreira:*

Please subscribe the mailing list before your post the messages.
Otherwise, those who may help will not see your post.

I'm wondering that the exchange rate is retrieved from currency
table. Did you set it right?

And moreover, you can input the exchange rate manually even the
automatically retrieving failed.

      Do I misunderstand anything?

      Best regards!

      Exson

Hello,
I start by thanking the developers of this software. We are a small start-up
designing and manufacturing Automate Guided Vehicles and in the initial year
when resources were scarce, WebERP provided an opportunity to organise the
delivery side of the business at the cost only of our time.

I have been using version 3.11 from March of 2010 up until now. Last week I
upgraded to version 4.07.09. The upgrade was surprisingly trouble free but I
noticed a number of issues that I began to resolve one at a time.

1. The language was set for the new version. This created problems regarding
the numbers involving commas. Issue solved by inserting the correct language
against the users in the MySQL table: www_users.

Re: Weberp Configuration

Hi Exson :

Thank you for your kind reply. That gave me some direction to move.

A Problem :
When we need to fill items, we also have to fill categories for them,
and there we have fields like GL Stock numbers etc. Is there any way
to disable stock related fields, because I don't know what to do
there.
Also, is it important that after every entry of new customer, we need
to add branch? Can't we have all branches set at once, and when we
want to enter a new client or customer, just allocate them to a
particular branch?

 <at> Phil

You got me wrong. I just wanted to know that, am I on right path of
using this software for my consultancy services or not. And for sure,
when I will have good understanding of software, I will ask specific
questions to my best, and will hope that you will reply at your best.

You need to put something in there, but if you use a stock type which
has no movements then as you observe they wont be used, but something
has to be there.

Yes it is important that every customer has at least one branch,
signifying the "head office" even if it is the only office.

Hope this help,
Tim

Re: Weberp Configuration

You can turn off the stock general ledger interface in Company Preferences. with the integration between
stock and GL (accounting) off the general ledger accounts set at the stock category are not used.

You do need some accounting knowledge to use webERP to its fullest potential though.

I agree on this that every customer should have a branch, but if we
have added all the possible branches of the organization , in
database, Is it necessary to add new branch to customers every time.
Is it not possible to allocate the
already entered, suitable branch for the customer?

You only need to enter one branch per customer, and then use that
branch each time the customer is used.

Re: Weberp Configuration

I suspect there is confusion with cust branch versus own branches.
I may be off line here but the concept is weberp uses a customer who may have one (min) or more branches. If the
weberp company has more than one branch what you have are Locations so london branch may transfer goods to
paris branch etc.
Hope this helps
