Re: Report Builder Sorting Order

Dears:

You can revise the debtoerno to int. But I don't know what the
potential effect of this change for other scripts. If you only need the
customer list, why not try Customer listing by Area/Salesperson? If it will
do, I can help you to revise the script to show customers order by number
without changing the debtorno fileds of the table.

     Best regards!

Re: Used the wrong database during the webERP install, I think.

Dears:

It's OK to change owner of the weberp directory.

bob <at> localhost is not a good email address, it cannot pass the
regular check. You can fill an email address such as bob@...

Re: Error when creating a Stock Check Data file

Or by putting a default in it also it doesn't then matter what mode
mysql is running in I think :-)

WackoWiki

Hi

I have installed WakoWiki on my system and am getting loads of messages
about deprecated functions. My setup uses XAMPPLITE, can anyone suggest a
wiki that might work easily?

Wacko is quite a bit more functional that wikka in my view... there is a
newer install which overcome some of the install issues for PHP 5...
I would persevere with Wacko install there are a few notes when Googling...

I can't remember what I did sorry - probably googled and applied on of
the fixes. But have a feeling it was just a bunch of notices that can be
turned off in your php.ini by changing the error settings to
error_reporting (E_ALL ^ E_NOTICE);

Re: WackoWiki

AFAIK Wikka is a fork of Wakka, not a fork of Wacko, which is also a fork of
Wakka (discontinued in 2003).

I like Wacko a bit more than Wikka, or better said, I dislike Wikka a bit
more than Wacko.

At least when I tested them:

They both lack good documentation.
Wikka doesn´t support i18n
Wacko doesn´t support categories
Both lack batch import/export support even between them, being two forks of
Wakka.

I found wiki format not having the needed interoperability and didn't found
a wiki system that fitted my shape. A CM/WCM or DM/ECM system is a better
way.

Regarding PhP, not a language I love, 5.2 is a pretty leap, and 5.3 another
one. But it's recommended to move to 5.2 or newer, e.g. regarding the date
type. Those warnings are there to encourage people to update, it's usual
and other languages e.g. Python behave in a similar way, keeping backward
compatibility and beggining to warn five years after the new implementation,
and you may disable warnings.

I don't like this wiki too, since it cannot support Chinese properly.

Re: WackoWiki

Hi:

We are actively using WikkaWiki 1.2-p1 with webERP since 1 year ago and we
are quite happy. We are just using it as "procedure manual", "complaints
manual", "discussion board" and "where should I save this info important for
all the employees?".

We are not very techie, but still works fine ;-)

Best,
Ricard

Invoicing streamlining / invoice due date / multi-company

I'm working my way through webERP learning as I go.

I've three potential business entities I could use it with:
1. Me, self employed
2. My Ltd company
3. an overseas company I deal with

1. I'm working on now, entering transactions as the best way of
learning. This is by its nature a one-man-band and often the "normal"
invoicing system feels long-winded. For most transactions there are no
credit terms, payment is immediate. Here I'd like to streamline the
workflow.

2. Not dissimilar to 1, but VAT registered and formal accounts are
required. So hopefully I'll get real value from using the accounting
features. I need to investigate the ability to produce shipping
documentation (i.e. packing lists and certificates of origin.)

3. The remote access concept of a web-based system will be excellent
here.

Thoughts on streamlining...
The existing workflow aligns pretty closely with the operations in a
medium sized company I formerly worked for where purchasing, receiving
and accounting functions are different people and happen at different
times. So, I understand why it works that way.

However, in my situation with usually immediate payment I'm often
ordering, invoicing and receiving payment in one transaction. Almost
like a counter sale, but with a recorded customer. The customer
