Re: Accounting without inventory

Are you talking about the field
Assembly, Kit, Manufactured or Service/Labour: which has to be set to "Service/Labour"?

And next?

How would you go about it?
Let's say, I have a web agency.
You would set items for development/maintenance/consulting or more like web site/webpage/graphic
layout/logo, etc?

Activities vs end results...

Thanks,

For service items you set them up as an item as usual, but there is a
flag that determines how to treat stock of the item (the MakeorBuy flag
- mbflag)

Re: Accounting without inventory

Did you see Phil's instructions here?

http://www.weberp.org/HowToSetupServiceBusiness

The item would depend on how you bill it. The system gives you a lot of
flexibility but you have to decide how you will use that flexibility for
your business. You could for instance setup inventory categories for
development/maintenance/consulting and then have separate items within
those categories for different kinds of development. Or just have
separate items for development/maintenance/consulting and put in a
description of what you actually did.

Thanks
Tim

Re: Accounting without inventory

You should put this link at least in the faq page....

I like your idea of categories/items

Now, which settings would you use?

While setting a categoty, we need to fill-in the following fields:
Stock Type:  FG/dummy/labour??
Stock GL Code:	?
WIP GL Code:	?
Stock Adjustments GL Code: ?
Price Variance GL Code: 	?
Usage Variance GL Code: ?

I am sorry to insist, but I need to get into your way of thinking, If I want some results.
And again, I am not an accountant, therefore, these things are not at all obvious!!

Thanks,

Re: About my business flow implemeted in weberp

Hi, it should work fine.

Setup customer.

1. Make a quotation using webERP for the total amount
2. Receive partial payment for this customer
3. Issue Purchase Orders to supplier
4. Receive Items on PO
5. Convert quotation to invoice, and Issue invoice to customer
6. Receive final funds

Allocate all funds to the invoice

The point to watch is, only issue one invoice for the total amount of
the sale. Don't issue two invoices for each part of the payments.

regards,
Murray

Timezone setting for Malaysia +GMT8

Hi,

I am a user from Malaysia +GMT8

In my WebERP config.php,

What should I set?

// The timezone of the business - this allows the possibility of having
// the web-server on a overseas machine but record local time
// this is not necessary if you have your own server locally
// putenv('TZ=Europe/London');
// putenv('Australia/Melbourne');
// putenv('Australia/Sydney');
// putenv('TZ=Pacific/Auckland');

Thanks for the help in advance!

TQ,
KK

Re: Timezone setting for Malaysia +GMT8

Thats what I meant :-) Not sure why I thought MY was an abbreviation for
timezone.
