Also, http://lists.alt.org/pipermail/pgp-keyserver-folk/ is the correct
list for such keyserver questions.

relocation of keys.se.linux.org

On the 20th this month, keys.se.linux.org will be moved to a new location, which of course
will result in the server being offline. Hopefully the server will be available again
later that day.

For those that mailsync with keys.se.linux.org a new address has been
created:

pgp-public-keys@...

The old one will be removed in the middle of next month, so please
update.

This can also be done with (a slightly modified version of) the PHP page
floating around, but it does require a change to GPG to fully work. Add:

    sprintf( request, "Content-type: application/x-www-form-urlencoded\r\n");
    iobuf_writestr( hd.fp_write, request );

just before:

    sprintf( request, "Content-Length: %u\r\n",
                      (unsigned)iobuf_get_temp_length(temp) + 9 );
    iobuf_writestr( hd.fp_write, request );

Or just

  iobuf_writestr(hd.fp_write,
                "Content-Type: application/x-www-form-urlencoded\r\n");

Note that GnuPG 1.2.5 (to be released soon) does this automatically.

Can we find a few more lists to cc this to? Seriously, the people who
just got cc'd have no idea what we're talking about.

blackhole.pca.dfn.de moving to new server

Hi all,

as we have our sks up and running for a feew weeks now
we are going to switch to the new server soon. So herewith
I request all admins of our horowitz email syncsites to
change the email address from

pgp-public-keys <at> blackhole.pca.dfn.de

to the new address:

pgp-sync-keys <at> pgpkeys.pca.dfn.de

The hostname "blackhole" will be moved to the new
server, but I prefer the new name (and this way
I can see if everything works before switching
the names).

Thanks in advance,
cheers,

Olaf

P.S.: If the administrators have changed, please
      tell me the new contact person.

Ready to Sync

Hello folks! ;)

I am a long time pgp/gpg user and i always dreamt of having my own
"real" keyserver. So last week, I set one up. Yesterday I downloaded
a keydump approx 2 days old and imported all the keys. Now all keys
are imported, the database is ready, the homepage is up too (just not
yet the fancy one), and email'ing the server works too.

Now I need for someone to take my hand and guide me thruh my first
initial syncing -and of course- someone willing to sync with me.

I would love at very least 1 or 2 in and outgoing servers.

My Server is 24/7 connected with a 100Mbit, 1200Mhz, 512 MB Ram,
Linux, all dedicated. http://pgp.demonserver.de

Thank you all in advance,

Christian.

One more thing.

Greetings yet again.

Is there a way to dump statistics of the server? As is,
how many keys server, keys total & stuff?
I read all the manpages, but pkstat isn't really documented there.

Thanks!
-Christian.

Are you shure about this ? I just checked and there are lots
of keys missing. Where did you get the initial keydump ?
