[PearPc] New to PearPc, general doubts

Hi there,

While I download the darwin ppc image I would like to ask you guys
some questions about the capabilities of pearpc.

The main idea is that I'm not trying to get pearpc emulating Mac Os X
fast enough to use it. My desktop is a k7 with 700Mhz and 256mb, I
don't think that would be possible anyway.

What I need to do is to deactivate the journaling system on a hfsplus
formated hard drive that I have. After realizing that the only way to
do this is by using Mac OS's "diskUtil" (or having a desktop ppc) I
thought that I could give pearpc a try.

Basically, I need pearpc to do 2 things for me, could you tell me if
this is possible?

1.- Mount a hfplus partition from a local hd. (this partition doesn't
contain any OS)
2.- Once I have darwin installed and running, use "diskUtil" to
disable the hfsplus journaling.

I guess that the tricky one is going to be mounting the partition, I
haven't found anything related to that.

And that's it, as simple and as weird as it sounds.

Should I keep going with the installation?

Thanks a lot,

I would suggest the following:
Get Darwin for x86 and run the diskutil from there or look whether there
is this diskutil for linux or so.
