Re: project dead?

In fact, the project is far from being dead. The development team is
working on several bugs or bad implementations so as to give you the
best experience possible with the .4 release. In other terms, they are
trying to locate & fix the problems in the Altivec core, and try to find
out (& also correct) why Os X tiger has some difficulties to install &
work. Moreover some problems have been found on the Direct Memory Access
module tha for instance makes (if I understood well) the "Apple MacIO
Self test fails" or sompthin' like that.

They do not want to release a new version until this problems are solved
because il could cause a wide mess-up among the users.

Also note that the development team is working hard, so that they don't
really have time to post news on the website ...

Re: PearPc

Yeah, the documentations are well formed and consistent enough to make
anyone able to use pearpc with only a few difficulties ... Reffer to it
before you ask for help, it will make helping you much easyer.

Re: project dead?

Just reacting on this..

- Some little news about WIP for 20 people involved should take a few secs even
if every guy has to type one char per string ^^

- providing an old buggy version without mentioning that dma problems which are
causing
MacIO failure during installation isn't really cool for new users searching
everywhere in forums & docs the 'good way to install Mosx with the emu' and
didn't deserve pearpc!
It is so frustating to see screenshots from happy users running the emu when you
always get your 'MacIO self test failed' in da face. :-/

Thus i don't see where is the problem to provide alpha/beta binaries or night
builds (and please people stop that geek stuff with CVS fetching).

ok ^^ the project is *not* dead and we are all mortals ^^

Re: project dead?

Good to hear. Thought so since Apple announced switching to intel. Suspected
there might have been thoughts like "well, next year we'll be able to run osx
ony bloody piece of x86 anyway, why put in more effort."
