Hello, what should I do to accomplish what in subject? Also, I currently have fedora 18 and ovirt 3.2.1 (with ovirt-release-fedora-5-3.noarch). I see that at http://resources.ovirt.org/releases/ there is also ovirt-release-fedora-6-1.noarch.rpm released on 7th of May. WHat is that for? How to catch it other than manually? In my current /etc/yum.repos.d/ovirt.repo I don't see any updates-testing repo to enable.... Thanks in advance, Gianluca
The dreyou repo has a guest agent. Its called rhevm-guest-agent and you start it with service ovirt-guest-agentFor Linux (Ubuntu, Fedora, RH) and Windows (7,8,2008,2012)

Hi,
Is there a way to force SPM election manually or to pin SPM to a certain node?
Thanks in advance!

Engine:
**Set SELinux to permissive
Fedora 18 basic install
yum remove firewalld
Edit /etc/hosts
192.168.0.120 engine.ovirt.local
Update packages:
yum -y update
Reboot
Configure Repo:
yum localinstall http://ovirt.org/releases/ovirt-release-fedora.noarch.rpm
Install Engine:
yum install ovirt-engine-setup-plugin-allinone
engine-setup
Setup works fine until it reaches adding local host and fails with error:
Error: Host was found in a 'Failed' state.
I've attached engine-setup logs. I've also tried manually adding host from admin console with no luck. Showing ssh error 1.
Thanks in advance.
Ryan

Hi All, Don't know if this is documented somewhere but I ran into an interesting problem yesterday. First we had intermittent problems with ssh connecting to VMs which we traced to having two oVirt installation being active in one subnet. Found the post from January where it is explained how engine allocates its mac address pool and how to set it with engine-config -s MacPoolRanges. Today I remembered that I had done that when I was about to start a VM and removed the nic from the VM and added it back. To my surprise it got the same macaddress as it had (from the old range). On a hunch I restarted ovirt-engine and redid the remove/add operation and now it got a new mac address from the range specified. Shouldn't the engine be aware that the config is changed if you use engine-config and reload its cached values from the database? I expected this but it seems not to be the case, bug or by design. There is about to be an outage of resources.ovirt.org/lists.ovirt.org for a five minute reboot. The outage is occurring directly after I send this email (and hopefully after it's already delivered to you.) == Details == We have older versions of some packages that have security fixes not yet applied. I'm updating the kernel and other packages then rebooting to remove the risk before this announcement gets out. == Affected services == * lists.ovirt.org * resources.ovirt.org * ovirtbot === Not-affected services == * gerrit.ovirt.org * jenkins.ovirt.org * www.ovirt.org == Future plans == Get the infra@... list or team on an advisory channel so we are aware of package updates. Then coordinate planned downtime to upgrade. -- -- Karsten 'quaid' Wade http://TheOpenSourceWay.org .^\ http://community.redhat.com <at> quaid (identi.ca/twitter/IRC) \v' gpg: AD0E0C41

This is a new setup. oVirt engine 3.2.1. One ovirt-node 2.6.1. Node network config: em1 ovirtmgmt untagged em2 tagged with 2 networks VM has one nic attached to one of the VLANs on em2. On start of VM it fails with: Exit message: internal error ifname "vnet0" not in key map Looking on the node vnet0 does not exist. All over network interfaces I would expect are there. ovirtmgmt, and the 2 VLANs with their em2.x interfaces as well. Thanks Scott
