Pandaboard ES Rev B2 Streaming issues with VLC

Hi All,
I am trying to convert a UDP stream to an HTTP stream with a Pandaboard ES Rev B2. I'm using Ubuntu 12.04 and running vlc to do this with the following command:
vlc -vvv udp:// <at> 239.1.1.1:59001 --sout '#transcode{vcodec=WMV2,acodec=wma2,vb=200,scale=0.25,ab=128,channels=1,samplerate=44100}:standard{access=http,mux=asf,dst=:8080}'

The point is to scale down the stream and use the http stream to test the channel. I copied this command from another Pandaboard that we are using, and the command works on that one. I'm not sure if that one is a ES Rev B2 though.

This command gives me the following errors:

Pandaboard-FreeRTOS Example with full RAM-Access from Cortex-M3. Pandaboard ES

Hi,

i am trying to get full RAM access from one Cortex-M3 on my Pandaboard ES.

To achieve this, i used the Example-Code from https://github.com/apopple/Pandaboard-FreeRTOS .

I changed the loader.c as follows:

/* A program to ready one of the Cortex-M3 cores for execution */
/* Assumes the program for the Cortex-M3 has been loaded into 0x83000000 */

/* Defines the pysical address where the program for the Cortex-M3 is loaded */
#define M3_LOAD_ADDRESS 0x84000000

int *CM_MPU_M3_CLKSTCTRL = (int *) 0x4a008900;
int *CM_MPU_M3_MPU_M3_CLKCTRL = (int *) 0x4a008920;
int *RM_MPU_M3_RSTCTRL = (int *) 0x4a306910;
int *MMU_CNTL = (int *) 0x55082044;
int *MMU_TTB = (int *) 0x5508204c;

int __attribute__ ((aligned(0x4000))) TTB[4096];

void setup_l2mmu()
{
  int i;

  /* Brings the L2 MMU out of reset and sets up virtual addresses */
  *CM_MPU_M3_MPU_M3_CLKCTRL = 0x01;
  *CM_MPU_M3_CLKSTCTRL = 0x02;
  *RM_MPU_M3_RSTCTRL &= ~0x4;

  /* Initialise address translation table */
  int align;

  for( i = 0; i < 4096; i++ )
  {
 align = i << 20;
 TTB[i] = align | 0x00c02;
  }

  /* Set the last entry to point to the GPIO1 peripheral to flash a light */
  /* ie. Virtual address of GPIO1_DATAOUT is 0xfff1013c */
  //TTB[4095] = 0x4a300c02;

  /* Set the base address */
  *MMU_TTB = (int) &TTB[0];

  /* Enable MMU */
  *MMU_CNTL = 0x6;
}

void start_m3()
{
  /* Release Cortex-M3 from reset */
  *RM_MPU_M3_RSTCTRL &= ~1;
}

int main()
{
  setup_l2mmu();
  start_m3();
  while(1);
}

So i changed the setup of MMU in order to get a linear mapping. Also i don't use the blink-Code but the M3 should just do busy waiting.

When the M3 is released from reset and watch what happens with Flyswatter2 attached, i see that is double faults:

Error: omap4460.m30 -- clearing lockup after double fault
target state: halted
target halted due to debug-request, current mode: Thread
xPSR: 0x01000000 pc: 0xfffffffe msp: 0xfffffffc

 I don't see what i am doing wrong.

Thanks in advance

Lars

OMAP 4460 low-volume availability

Hi, is the OMAP4460 available for purchase in low-volume (100-300
units)? I'm having trouble finding any OMAP4-series units available from
3rd-party distributors. Odd, since from the low-cost of the PandaBoard I
would think TI would make them available to small customers.

OMAP44xx low-volume availability

Hi,

Is it possible to purchase OMAP44xx units in low-volume (100-300 units)? I've tried to find it via 3rd-party distributors but have had no such luck. And it's odd since the low-cost of the Pandaboard should suggest that TI would make it available to small customers. I'd like to develop a custom board that supports stereo cameras and this is the only applications processor that seem(ed) attainable.

Would be nice if you'd start a new thread when  a new topic is started.

Subject is changed.

If you are interested about PandaBoard.org platforms, please discuss
in the appropriate mailing list.

I'm interested in software for the pandaboard; yes. That's why I'm posting here. Has the topic of the mailinglist changed to something else?

So back to the question; the omapzoom is to go to the grave. There was a new tag the other day. But what will happen next with omap4/panda support?

how does omap4460 connect ddr2?

Dear all,

I am confused about hardware connection between omap4460 and ddr2. Does the core omap4460 already have ddr2 inside?
