Re: [FreeWRT-bugs] #280: OpenSuse 10.2 is also a valid build system

Thanks for trying, i'll add OpenSuse 10.2 to the list.

> You should write (concerning your list) that your compiling software works with probably the most Gnu
Linux distributions and not only UBUNTU. If you give exclusively the name of UBUNTU and write nothing
about general gnu linux, people will think that the distribution is decisive. Perhaps you should drop the
specific name of UBUNTU or indicate that it may work with other distributions.

Currentyl, we have Debian, Gentoo, Ubuntu, Fedora and now OpenSuse as
the supported GNU/Linux host platforms. There is nothing exclusive about
that...
But i've added a general GNU/Linux note, too.

download (bittorrent and other) from a WINDOWS computer with the download manager shipped on the
original CD?

Sorry but i have no idea what you are talking about?!

We have the freewrt-users <at> freewrt.org mailinglist as our user-support
plattform.

 Hi,

good idea. I installed rbot today. The bot monitors two rss feeds. The
developers blog feed and tracs timeline with all changes to FreeWRT (bugs,
 wiki, tickets,...)

So be nice to Mr. fwrt ;=)

Hi, all the packages mentioned in the readme are installed and seems to
 work.

Is the partition mounted “noexec” or something like that?

It would be great to have netconsole into the freewrt because it could be
used to debug without making the serial mode:netconsole send the dmesg
 messages over the network

 here's the patches:

 for 2.4.10-C2 : http://people.redhat.com/mingo/netconsole-
 patches/netconsole-2.4.10-C2

 for 2.4.20 :
 http://kasperd.net/~kasperd/linux_kernel/netconsole-2.4.20.patch

 for 2.4.24 : http://www.13thfloor.at/patches/patch-2.4.24-nc0.01.diff

 for 2.4.24 : http://search.luky.org/linux-kernel.2004/msg04598.html

we should adapt one of theses patch to the network drivers of the
 supported devices of openwrt

With the configuration attached I cannot connect to a ASUS WL500gP router
running FreeWRT 1.0.2 pulled from the SVN (2500).

Services such as dnsmasq and firewalling are configured using LAN
interface br0 and WAN interface eth0.1. I believe that the problem occurs
at the association level (wired Ethernet works OK). Connecting using
different clients and/or client hardware gives the same result - flip-
flopping of connection (fast switching betwen associated and unassociated
states) with no IP level connectivity. I have not tested another setup for
I am interested in WPA-PSK/WPA2-PSK only.
