and a Happy New Year to you, Eliane, from New Zealand.

I take this opportunity, too, to wish all subscribers all the best for 2011l
with the fervent wish that LibreOffice will continue its success.

Thanks for making it better. English is my third language (my first
language, of course, is Italian, and my second is French, which I have
studied at school) as I have started studying it when I was 18. Now my
English is better than my French, because I practice it more, but my
English will always be far from adequate.

This is what we have done in Italy. We have never expressed a negative
thought on our competitors, and this has made us popular. We have used a
lot of irony, and this has made us even more popular.

We are the white knight of free software, they are the dark angels of
proprietary software.

Error Message from opening OpenOffice Password-Protected Calc File

I just installed the latest version of LibreOffice (3.3.0) on an XP box and
tried opening a password-protected Calc file which was created using the
latest OpenOffice version. After entering the correct password, an error
message, "Can not load library 'DLBAPRP.DLL. Using defaults. Error: 126"
appears. After hitting "OK" several times, the file opens without any other
apparent problems.

Have not seen (and cannot test for) that problem.
When you search for "DLBAPRP.DLL" on the web, there are many different
situation related to that error message. Maybe that give you a clue?

Friends of OpenDocument, Inc is delighted to announce the publication of
the printed edition of "Getting Started with LibreOffice 3.3", which is
now available from Lulu.com through this link:
http://www.lulu.com/product/paperback/getting-started-with-libreoffice-33/14423050

All profits from the sale of this book will go to The Document
Foundation.

Huge thanks to Hal Parker for doing the work of compiling the book ready
for publication.

The interior PDF of this book can be replaced with a new one whenever
the book itself is revised. Similarly, the cover artwork can be replaced
if/when someone creates a better design.

David or someone who is on one of the other lists (Marketing, perhaps?)
might like to pass this info on.

Who are "Friends of OpenDocument Inc" - that seems it is not identical
with Document Foundation, isn't it?

When I tried to open the document I posted at
http://zentektales.com/EvenStaffRecruitment.doc, it crashed LO (I'm running

(By crashed, I mean it caused all my open LO windows to disappear....)
