LibreOffice 3.3 International

Hi all,

Why should the LibreOffice installer
(LibO_3.3.0_Win_x86_install_multi.exe) be identified as a 300Mb file
(on both the download site and by Windows), but when I scan it with
Avast, it reads as 2.5Gb (and takes 8:30 to scan)?

I'm using OOo 3.1.1 on Win7-64bit, and it's under Tools > Options, OpenOffice.org, Online Update,
Check for updates automatically. Sorry, I don't know if the LibO beta has a corresponding option.

Apparently not... I'm using b3, and there is no option there, and I do
now remember that is where it should be...

I guess it makes sense for the LibO developers to have removed it until
the infrastructure is in place to make it work though... ;)

Can't Install LibreOffice on Fedora 14 with OpenOffice

I tried to install LibreOffice Desktop on Fedora 14, as per instructions,
but will not work.
I get error message:

Seems OpenOffice install conflicts with LibreOffice (no such conflict with
IBM Lotus Symphony).

Is there a work-around?

Any reason why I should not report that as a bug?

No, I can't think of any reason not to report it. :)

So I'd say go ahead and file a bug report.

Are you sure it didn't just execute the grammar check and pass on the
marked errors?

If so, then yes, it's a bug.

IIRC this is a known problem on RH distributions, including Fedora and CentOS.

Impress Question

I an trying to convert a relatively large training program from PowerPoint to
LO beta 3.3. Everything is going well except the choice of Interactions. In
PowerPoint, I can set up a command button to return to the "Last viewed slide"
which, unfortunately, is not likely to be First, Last, etc.

Does anyone know a work-around or if adding this to LO is in the works?

Thanks,

Lyle

Interesting option, that I never saw in Impress.

> Does anyone know a work-around or if adding this to LO is in the works?

The only relative simple thing I can think of, is using the
possibilities from SlideShow>Interaction.
If jumping from one slide to another and back is not just 'ad random',
but related to some logic in your presentation, then one or few
prepared, invisible or nicely integrated objects that send (on click) to
a named object on another slide, will do it.

Regards,
Cor
