annual report - next chapter done

Hi,

I've finished chapter 3 and uploaded it again to the wiki. I also checked
out now chapter 5 (chapter 4 is being checked out by Thorsten).

https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/AnnualReport13

It would be nice, if someone could start looking at those documents and
correct my grammar and/or spelling errors. :)

Thanks.

/Sigrid

Hackfests

Hi all,
we announce many Hackfests but we never "see" a product of these
Hackfests. Of course we will see some in LibreOffice, but never
recognize them as Hackfest work. So, is it possible to get a short
summary of every Hackfest in future?
Some like: "We closed 100 bugs." "We worked on strategy things."
"We drunk one and half beer (or a bottle of wine in Paris)." "We won
two new Hackers." or so.

next chapter of the annual report translated

Hi there,

I translated the 2 chapter of the annual report. (or better, I used google
translate and then tried to fix its errors and make sense out of the
sentences...) I also had a look at the first chapter, where Robinson asked
for a second draft before proofreading.

I hope I managed to make sense out of that one too... (In case there is
still something not clear, just drop me an email and I will have another
look at it)

So if there is someone who can fix my spelling/grammar errors, feel free to
give it a go. :)

Btw, I am currently working on chapter 3.

The chapters are uploaded in the wiki again:
https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/AnnualReport13

AskBot merge questions

Hello,

good news, everyone! :-) I just received an e-mail from Evgeny, whom we
have contracted for AskBot improvements, and it's now possible to merge
questions.

Here's what he writes:

===
"on questions there is a button "merge"
when it's clicked, a modal menu opens where you
enter question id,

this loads preview of the target question
once confirmed, merge occurs.

Question bodies are spliced,
also answers are spliced if one answer per user is allowed.

This means that it will be required to edit the question body and
possibly some answers. This editing is not part of the merging workflow
and the admin will have to do this separately."
===

Let me know if this works and if you have questions.

Thanks, and thanks especially to Evgeny!
