grid cloud computing

Has anyone looked at putting a few rc5 clients up in the cloud of
amazon's EC2 or gogrid?
I haven't done it yet, but with the cost of the electricity here and
my 24x7 100 % CPUs, I was wondering if anyone has looked at it
seriously.

Based on a cursory glance, it looks like one would pay about 20 cents
per cpu hour and if its dedicated, would that be about $12 USdollars a
day?
That's way more than I am paying for electricity here.....but am I
doing the math right? It doesn't appear I could economically
efficiently make use of the cloud to replace my key rate.

OGR Stats

 
The last few days the OGR stats don't seem to be adding up to me, so hopefully someone can explain..
 
I will use the stats from yesterday, 23Oct2008.
 
According to the Detailed Stubspace Status, 107 total stubs were completed of the 118 remaining.  But when I look at the top 100 Teams for yesterday, 13,778,359 stats units were counted.  How can these numbers be correct?  Are late stubs that have already been verified being counted for a third time? How did 943 active participants on 145 teams only submit 107 stubs?

Perhaps reading bovine's plan will help a little.  You can see it on
http://distributed.net on .plan/blogs and then click on finger next to
bovine.

Basically OGR stubs expire in 2 weeks but if you return them after they
are expired you still get credit even though it does not help the
project.  I suspect a lot of people are returning expired stubs and
getting credit.  Right now I believe we are waiting for these last stubs to
expire so they can be issued again or for then to be returned. 

Please feel free to correct or further clarify.

Oh man they finished without me. I know I'm attached to too many
boincs but I'm pretty sure OGR-25 started in uh, the 20th century?! I
thought I would get one unit done. So much for yoyo <at> home D:

Assuming they participate in the next level of OGR or you can get them
to participate in RC5-72 you will have your chance for blocks I am sure.
