mobile todo.txt

I'm wondering how others might be integrating todo.txt concepts with
mobile technologies (besides sending messages to their mobile phones).
Anyone linking to a Palm or PocketPC. Anyone found useful printing tips?
Other ideas for using todo.txt concepts when not at your computer?

no it isn't.  Make sure that you can access things on port 82.  This is my home server so it should work.
http://rootsmart.homeip.net:82/Projects/todophp.txt is the address, so make sure you get it all.  I hope you like it

Interesting. Now if we can make that web page local with javascript; or start a service and store the todo.txt in a cookie.

Re: Re: todo.txt Web Edition

Well what I was thinking was making a version that didn't use the todo.sh, but just read straight from the todo.txt file, so all you will need is access to the todo.txt and done.txt files.  Now if people think it is a good idea, I can set up a hosted todotxt environment that includes the AIM bot, the JABBER bot, the online interface and a ssh login to the server.  I am open to ideas

Re: Re: todo.txt Web Edition

Also, if you want I can set it up so you can upload your todo.txt and done.txt to my server and set a password, so you can get to it.  The only problem is you would need to use the web interface to deal with it.

I use a Palm T5 - I've set it up so that it syncs my todo text file with
the palm via textsync. I then have my todo file on my palm every day.
Any changes I make on my palm to the file get synced back to the todo
txt file that night (via textsync again). Textsync is clever about
clashes etc as well (it uses a diff algorithm) so you can make updates
on computer and palm and they get merged.

I've also set up an email account that only my phone picks up (with a
very 'unguessable' email address so no spam gets to it). My todo list
gets sent to that every now and again as well (along with other stuff -
its easier to send an email than an sms and an email can be longer).

You can probably just run the aim bot shell directly as a service via
the cygwin service wrapper. Check out the output of cygrunsrv --help,
the '--install', '--args', '--desc', '--type' and '--path' arguments are
of particular interest.

[Not tried any of this but....]

To install it, something like (replace the -p and -a args with whatever
you need):

cygrunsrv -I "TODO Aim Bot" -p /path/to/aim.sh -a '--all --your --args'

To remove it:

cygrunsrv -R "TODO Aim Bot"

You may find you need to set up various PATH variables for it to work as
you expect though.
