right-click mount option

Hello. I have Debian Lenny, with fluxbox. I use rox filer as my file
manager. For mounting of drives, I do this manually. I have symbolic
links on my home directory (to the /media directory), which correspond
to the /etc/fstab setup. When I used to right-click on these links, I
had the option of mounting these mount-points. Now, however, the only
option I'm given is "open unmounted". By contrast, the pinboard action
window for mounting and unmounting works, so I don't know why the
right-click option does not work any longer. Any idea how I can get
this working again?

Incorrect SHA1 digest values in ZeroInstall configuration

I am doing a clean install of Jaunty Ubuntu on my EEE PC and have run
into an odd problem trying to install ROX using ZeroInstall.

I tried out the install first under VirtualBox on my main PC and
everything went fine.
However, on my EEE PC trying to install ROX-Filer produces an error
about a mismatch between the SHA1 values.
I downloaded the XML file and made a link to the temporary
directory with the SHA1 name, then ran 0store verify on the directory
and got the following:

-----
Verifying sha1new=05c359a61e10f9416eaee38b36d3fb027a1f5910
Cached item does NOT verify.

 Expected digest: sha1new=05c359a61e10f9416eaee38b36d3fb027a1f5910
   Actual digest: sha1new=5459485aa025eaf707976c0c24b9737c9650cea3
.manifest digest: sha1new=5459485aa025eaf707976c0c24b9737c9650cea3

The .manifest file matches the actual contents. Very strange!
-----

The reason it works on my main PC is because it is an AMD64
which has a different version in the XML file.

Dave.

Could you try it with the sha1sum command... maybe Python is doing
something odd?

e.g. I get:

$ sha1sum sha1new=05c359a61e10f9416eaee38b36d3fb027a1f5910/.manifest
05c359a61e10f9416eaee38b36d3fb027a1f5910
sha1new=05c359a61e10f9416eaee38b36d3fb027a1f5910/.manifest

I get the same "wrong" sum value:

Done:

http://repo.or.cz/w/zeroinstall.git?a=commitdiff;h=e68b0b3efa5d089eca1ce98ad0500e5ba720896a

Though I couldn't reproduce the problem here on Ubuntu 9.04. My
eCryptfs symlinks seem to have the right size.

Thank's for the work Thomas.
It could be a combination of eCryptfs and XFS which is what I use
rather than EXT.

ROX-Filer 2.9

It's that time of the year again...

ROX-Filer 2.9 (the file manager at the core of the ROX desktop) has been
released.

You can install it by entering this URL into AddApp:

  http://rox.sourceforge.net/2005/interfaces/ROX-Filer

To upgrade:

- Right click on the application and choose 'Versions...' from the menu.
- Click on 'Refresh all now'.
- Ensure 'Help test new versions' is selected.

For more information, including package downloads, see:

  http://roscidus.com/desktop/ROX-Filer

Binaries are now being built automatically during the release, by
0release and some VirtualBox images. There are Linux-x86, Linux-x86_64
and FreeBSD-x86 binaries at the moment. Let me know if there are
problems.

Note: I built the Linux-x86 binary with dnotify support (build virtual
machine is Debian/etch). Hopefully that still works on newer systems?

Changes in 2.9:
