Hi Lennon,

I've added more recent versions of GLib-dev, Pango-dev and
libxml2-dev, so it should be possible to have them fetched
automatically by adding this to the feed:

    <requires interface="http://0install.net/2006/interfaces/GLib-dev">
      <version before="2.7" not-before="2.6"/>
      <environment insert="lib/pkgconfig" name="PKG_CONFIG_PATH"/>
    </requires>

    <requires interface="http://0install.net/2006/interfaces/Pango-dev">
      <version not-before="1.8.0"/>
      <environment insert="lib/pkgconfig" name="PKG_CONFIG_PATH"/>
    </requires>

    <requires interface="http://0install.net/2008/interfaces/libxml2-dev.xml">
      <environment insert="lib/pkgconfig" name="PKG_CONFIG_PATH"/>
    </requires>

You'll need 0compile >= 0.12 for this to work, which can be ensured by
adding an attribute on the group:

Version 0.5 says:

Is anything else shown (e.g."Glob")? Does the count show hidden files?
e.g. in the toolbar it might say:

  62 items (110 hidden)

Did you drag the window's titlebar, or did you drag the little
representation of the window in the pager?

Modifying the source for icons.

Hello again!
There are two things i wanted to do with Rox' pinboard:
- remove the little arrow marking icons of links
- make the pinboard icons bigger.

I guess there is no option for these things, even in some obscure config
files? Can anyone who knows the source point me where/if i can change
this easily?

Thank you for your time!

Try pinboard.c:draw_icon()

Suggestion for rox-filer...

Hi! A suggestion for rox-filer: it would be useful if rox had a navigation bar like nautilus, thunar, dolphin, etc... for direct access to the directory tree. And it would be really useful if it supported drag and drop over the directories.

Examples:
http://enzosworld.gmxhome.de/images/navigation_bar_1.png
http://thunar.xfce.org/images/filewindow-1.png

Perhaps it could appear at the button of the filer, but actually I don't know how dificult it could be, because I don't know nothing about computers development.

Regards.

María.

problem with accented characters in ROX-Filer UI

hi all

since some version of ROX-Filer (I don't remember exactly the last
version not having this problem, perhaps 2.5) the user interfaces
(Options Window, Menus) don't display correctly accented characters,
punctuation characters (e.g.: àèéìòù'`")

software version:
  ROX-Filer-2.7.1
  ROX-Lib-2.0.5
  Gtk+-2.12.8

note that other Gtk software (XChat, Gimp, Evince, Firefox, ...) shows
those character crrectly in its UI

attached is a little screenshot showing a menu of the default pinboard.
see that ? shows in place of " and ù

thanks to the guys in #rox channel I solved.
the problem was in my locale settings, which were not explicitly set to
UTF-8

replacing every occurrence of it_IT with it_IT.utf8 fixed the problem.

Make clicking on scripts run them in a term.

Hi, people,

I have a quick question. Is it possible to configure ROX in such way,
that when I click a (bash) script to execute it in a terminal. I ask
because I noticed that if I start my scripts with click from ROX, X
freezes and I must restart.

Thanks for any answers!
