MIME Editor XML matching

I am trying to have 0launch interfaces recognised as having their own
MIME type so that, for example, I can have 0publish in the menu. I have
told MIME editor to match <interface> with namespace
http://zero-install.sourceforge.net/2004/injector/interface .

Even after running update-mime-database, 0launch interfaces are still
recognised as being 'application/xml' in rox and nautilus.

Is there a way to do this?

You're probably better off with a magic match (I don't think the xdg
code uses the XML namespaces information). Try just looking for the
namespace near the start of the file.

It seems to lack a maintainer...

I wonder if it makes more sense to make some ROX wrappers/utilities for
something more mainstream. Like openbox?

I agree. The most similar WM is xfw4m, which is also based on Oroboros. In
fact we've transferred code between the two projects before (e.g. the
button-3 drag resize-without-raise behaviour). They can also share themes,
I think.

This really saddens me. I have got to know OroboROX very well and
really like (almost) everything about it.

I would suggest fluxbox. It's in need of some nice GUI config
utilities, as the old 'fluxconf' project is pretty old and broken.

I think many rox users use fluxbox. Or at least, I use fluxbox with
rox :) Normally ROX users are looking for a
lightweight-though-feature-rich environment, for which I find fluxbox a
nice match!

Maybe it would be worthwile to start a poll (either here or or
rox.sf.net) to find out what WMs people really _are_ using with rox.

Started with Sawfish, then almost exclusively OroboROX

Rox Panel - Pager applet install fails

Howdy,

I eventually managed to get the menu applet to install and now I am pulling my hair out with the pager applet...

It tells me, '...exit without ever creating a widget...' when I try to install it.

My system is RedHat RHEL5 and I built libwnck-2.19.3.1 from source.

Does anyone have any ideas?

Cheers,
