What's this for? Don't you normally start Memo to find out what you need
to do rather than add new things? It's hard to see how to provide a
second way of launching Memo that takes less than the current one click
open the dialog...

When I open Memo, I get just a time and date window, no calendar. I then have to
click on the time and date window to get the calendar. I should have mentioned,
I don't use the ROX panel, so I'm not using Memo as a panel applet, if that
makes any difference.

Pictures speak louder than words:

I would like to be able to just have the calendar open without the time and date
window.

I know, I know, verrrrry lazy ;-)

Excellent! Much, much nicer than before.

Quick patchlet: The symptom is that the main window won't open with no
vcard passed in and no saved Options.

ContactWindow.py <at> line 94
      callto_handler = Option('callto_handler', '')
+    rox.app_options.notify()

Some other small problems:

When editing the name in the text box, the title and filename do not
change. Only when using the Name... button does this happen.

If you've edited a card and close the window, there is no prompt to save
the changes.

Contacts address book: critical update!

If you tried Contacts with no luck, please bear with me and give it another shot...

Critical Update:
Contacts didn't start, unless the user had made some change to the options - sorry for that!
Please get the fixed tarball, version has not changed.
On top of this fix, when you type the name into the "Home" tab, now the window title is updated live.

Stop by at:

http://roxos.sunsite.dk/dev-contrib/guido/Contacts/

and fetch the fixed tarball (link at the bottom of the page).

rox-filer error

I love rox-filer and I intend to install the entire DE on my UbuntuLinux
machine. However, I get an error when it starts about not finding a
symlink for icons. Here is the entire text.

Failed to create symlink '/home/peyre/.icons/ROX':
File exists

(this may mean that the ROX theme already exists there, but the
'mime-application:postscript' icon couldn't be loaded for some reason)

All I have by way of icons are what look like yield signs with question
marks in the center. I have searched the web for an answer and about all
I could find was the rox can't use Gnome icons so I had to install rox
icons. Well, I did that, but it's still no go.

Do I need to put icons in rox-filer/.icons? If so, how will rox use them
if I select themes from gnome theme manager??

thanks,
Peyre Lumpkin
