I have a client who runs a long-term care pharmacy who is looking for a new software package to run their business.
Does anyone know of a highly recommended, up to date system that is built on a U2 platform and sold and
serviced in the US?

Thanks for any leads, Ken

RE: [U2] Looking for pharmacy system on U2 platform

Vantage is designed on the Progress platform.

Epicor has several U2 products they have acquired over the years. The best
of these legacy products is MANAGE-2000. It is an excellent UniData product
with a very advanced tool set. You will have to specifically request it,
because they will bend over backwards trying to sell you the Progress crap.

RE: [U2] Looking for pharmacy system on U2 platform

Actual Epicor have four products that run on UniData or UniVerse

DataFlo
ManFact
Avanti (Formerly InfoFlo)
And Manage 2000

All four products are good, they have 4GL interfaces and customization tools
for the end user. But the problem is finding some at Epicor willing to talk
to you about the products, I a form Epicor employee but I can contact
someone if you need it. If you want to know more please contact me off line.

[U2] Normal SELECT behavior? [UD]

Is this normal SELECT behavior? I get the same results when I use NO.INDEX.
Is there an UDT.OPTIONS I can use? I also noticed using " 700" selected the
same records when the F1 was Right Justified but not when it was Left
Justified. But the leading zeros were an issue either way.

LIST POH F1 WITH F1 = "000700" 19:26:49 Nov 03 2008 1
POH... 01 Vendor Number

7110 00700

7130 700

4 records listed

RE: [U2] Job Posting

Gary, it might help if you send your details to the email address listed
in the posting, not to the entire U2 Users group email list. :)

[U2] any New Zealand UD or DataFlo users for support?

Hi All,

We are a US-based company with a division in Auckland, NZ. This site is
running a different ERP system and there is interest in moving them to ours
(DataFlo on UniData/HP-UX).

In roughing out a conversion project, I am interested in making contact with
NZ folks having DataFlo and/or UD/Unix experience and open for some
consulting. There could be a piece of the conversion project as well as some
ongoing support opportunities, depending on time availability.

Since we can provide adequate remote support, this is really a local
opportunity.

Please direct responses to:

RE: [U2] Normal SELECT behavior? [UD]

Unfortunately, it's obviously doing a numeric equality (which I believe is the default if it can).

What happens if you add "AND F1 MATCHES 6N"?

Cheers,
Wol

RE: [U2] Normal SELECT behavior? [UD]

Using LIKE works, but isn't there a way to get EQ to do a string comparison?

Thanks,
