How to unsubcribe squirrel?

Hello,

I would like to unsubscribe list, however I did not find a way to do so after checking. Anybody knows this?

Thanks for sharing.

QTJava.zip main class not found

When launching Squirrel Client 3.1 with Sun Java JRE 1.6.0_17-b04 on Vista Business SP2 I get the following error message.

Could not find the main class: Files\Java\jre6\lib\ext\QTJava.zip
Program will exit.

In validation the file was found in the following path C:\Program Files\Java\jre6\lib\ext

In searching I did not find any match for this issue but then again I could be wrong.  During the install as it was on Vista I did open a cmd prompt with the "Run as Administrator" option.  Then ran the java -jar squirrel-sql-3.1-install.jar from the command window.

Re: QTJava.zip main class not found

My guess is that there is a pair of missing quotes somewhere, perhaps
in %JAVA_HOME% or in %PATH%, around "C:\Program Files\Java\jre6"

Re: QTJava.zip main class not found

It's the CLASSPATH environment variable, set by Quicktime.

Change that environment variable and either put quotes around the value, or modify 'Program Files' to 'Progra~1'.

Java 1.6 needed to run Squirrel on Mac OSX 1.58?

Squirrel will not install because I have only J2SE 1.5 instead of 1.6
on my Mac. That appears to be the latest edition of Java available.
What should I do?

Thanking you,

John

Re: Java 1.6 needed to run Squirrel on Mac OSX 1.58?

John,

Do you mean 10.5.8 ? If so, the 10.5.x series (Leopard) does support
Java 6 on Intel 64-bit platforms. The download is here:

http://www.apple.com/downloads/macosx/apple/application_updates/javaformacosx105update1.html

Unfortunately, you are out of luck if you have PowerPC architecture or
32-bit Intel. In that case, you can still use SQuirreL v 2.6.9 which
is here:

http://sourceforge.net/projects/squirrel-sql/files/1-stable/2.6.9%20%28Installer%29/squirrel-sql-2.6.9-MacOSX-install.jar/download

3.1 OS X key mappings

I just upgraded from 3.0.x to 3.1 and found that the keyboard mappings are different.  Not only are the 3.1 mappings different from 3.0.x but they are different than the standard Mac keyboard settings.

Specifically CMD -> should take one to the end of the line and not to the next word.
In most text editors and in SQurreL 3.0.x Option/Alt -> would take you to the end of the current word.

Can these setting be user changeable and if not should short-cut Mac users just go back to a 3.0.x version?

thx.

Re: 3.1 OS X key mappings

I haven't tried this yet, but as a work-around did you try configuring
the Netbeans Editor via File -> New Session Properties -> Syntax
(tab). Do the 3.0.x shortcuts work with the NetBeans editor ?
