Web Developer (Engineers)

One of my clients is looking for three top web developers (engineers) to build a new video platform from scratch.  Wouldn’t it be nice to build this system without having to work with legacy code or systems?  They are part of a major organization and have deep funding.  We’re looking for someone who is team player and who loves to work with other very smart engineers.  Top pay, benefits and cool SF Bay Area location.  Are you interested or know of someone who would be?

If you would like to know more, please email me and we can set up a time to talk.

Kind Regards,

PostgreSQL trainer, preferably in the Bay Area

We are looking for a PostgreSQL DBA who can train a group of 6 Oracle DBAs and some developers on PostgreSQL and PostGIS. The training is only two days but there may be an opportunity for a second round. The timeframe is immediate (next week), although we also have the option of rescheduling if necessary.

We will need someone who:

·         Is a good trainer:

o   Communicates clearly

o   Can manage a classroom experience: explain the objectives, make sure students don’t fall behind, make sure faster students don’t get bored, etc.

o   Can write a basic lesson plan and come up with lab exercises.

·         Knows PostgreSQL very well:

o   Can install and configure PostgreSQL on Linux (we’ve already installed it but it needs to be demonstrated)

o   Can explain the differences between Oracle and PostgreSQL

o   Can install and illustrate PostGIS topics

We would prefer a local candidate in the Bay Area so we can avoid paying for travel and lodging, but don’t let that stop you from applying. Ideally, the candidate would have both prior experience conducting hands-on training sessions, and work experience as a PostgreSQL DBA. Payment is commensurate with experience.

Please send your response to sfraga^academyx.com (replace ^ with <at> ) or give me a call if you have any questions.

Sincerely,

Stephen Fraga

Two days seems a very short time to cover those skills.

Immediately available, experienced trainers....2ndQuadrant and Open
Technology Group offer this kind of training already.

Happy to discuss,
