Re: [CYGWIN] Where is the link to cygwin?

We just added code to add the *.exe suffix for MinGW and I am hoping
this will fix your register problem on Cygwin too. Would you test a
recent snapshot and let me know if it works?

Latest CVS compilation fails, so I was not able to check pg_ctl.

PostgreSQL 8.0.0-beta4 Windows 2000 Installation

  Hi
I am new Postgresql. I downloaded and installed postgresql-8.0.0-beta4 on windows 2000 everything went smooth, after creating a database in the console; I could connect the database once with the php. After that no log nothing. After reinstallation also I got the same result. After wasting about 10 hours I got a clue and reinstalled after uninstalling the Norton Antivirus I am running successfully.
Providing such a silly information will encourage help new users.
Thanks for the OSS community

An error occured: socket() error

I installed Cygwin with apache gcc and ssh.
Under Apache i installed the CGI:IRC Script. Source:
http://cgiirc.sourceforge.net/docs/advanced.php

The Apache test Page runs fine, ssh runs well, the CGI:IRC Login Screen apears.
But the Login for the IRC:CGI Script need to open a Socket. Under c:/cygwin/tmp
i get every Login a new directory with the ip file from the client included.

Check out this link to see the Error:

how about reading the cygwin specific docs?
less /usr/share/doc/Cygwin/postgresql*.README
ipc-daemon2 must not be used anymore, use cygserver instead.
