MySQL BZR trees on launchpad broken *AGAIN*

Looking at https://code.launchpad.net/mysql-server, I see that neither
trunk, 5.5 or 5.1 trees have been updated since 2011-12-01.

It'd be great to see it fixed, and perhaps some monitoring put in place
so it's not just up to me to find this out?

(The good news is I could just copy and paste my mail from a little over
a month ago).

This *really* doesn't look good... to the point that I'm thinking of
constructing a cron job to automatically send mail when the trees are
old.

Re: MySQL BZR trees on launchpad broken *AGAIN*

How did you get the 2011-12-01 date? The trunk [1] page currently says:

  This branch may be out of date, because Launchpad has not been able
to access it since 2011-09-10.

The tags are also ways behind relative to the .tar.gz releases (last
5.1 is 5.1.60 and last 5.5 is 5.5.19):

  $ bzr tags | egrep 'mysql-5.1.(58|59|60)'
  mysql-5.1.58         3560.3.13

  $ bzr tags | egrep 'mysql-5.5.1[5-9]'
  mysql-5.5.15         2875.292.14

I was looking at https://code.launchpad.net/mysql-server

IIRC the exact locations of the branches were changed, so the ~mysql/
ones are out of date.

Re: MySQL BZR trees on launchpad broken *AGAIN*

Indeed they were:

  $ bzr tags | egrep 'mysql-5.5.1[5-9]'
  clone-mysql-5.5.15-ndb-7.2.1-src-build ?
  clone-mysql-5.5.15-ndb-7.2.1a-src-build ?
  mysql-5.5.15         2875.292.14
  mysql-5.5.16         2875.308.33
  mysql-5.5.17         2875.319.4
  mysql-5.5.18         2875.325.29
  mysql-5.5.19         2875.321.43

  $ bzr tags | egrep 'mysql-5.1.(58|59|60)'
  mysql-5.1.58         2661.802.6
  mysql-5.1.59         2661.814.12
  mysql-5.1.60         2661.814.34

Who is the right person to ping if this happens again? :-)

Hi Razvan and Stewart,

Some of us are reading this list, so posting here should work. :)

(again) BZR trees on launchpad are out of date

The bzr trees on launchpad:
lp:mysql-server
lp:mysql-server/5.5
lp:mysql-server/5.1

all haven't been updated since the 2nd of January.

This is starting to look either very careless or intentional... is there
someone I could contact directly?

My guess is that it's probably something to do with custom engine. If
they don't shut down properly then anything could happen.

To examine any further you really need a proper backtrace too.

Hi!

I'm also interested in the resolution for this issue.
