Abator fails to generate proper insert queries for MySQL
--------------------------------------------------------

                 Key: IBATIS-403
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/IBATIS-403
             Project: iBatis for Java
          Issue Type: Bug
          Components: Tools
    Affects Versions: 2.2.0
         Environment: MySQL
            Reporter: Daniel Kasmeroglu
            Priority: Minor

When a column corresponds to a MySQL reserved word (see
http://dev.mysql.com/doc/refman/5.1/de/reserved-words.html) the query will be interpreted as
erraneous. This can be fixed when the column names of the insertclause will be quoted properly.

Jeff Butler commented on IBATIS-401:
------------------------------------

I'm open to a Maven build for Abator, but it's not as simple as this POM suggests. The build needs to run ALL the
Abator tests which mainly involves testing code generated by Abator. For example, there are over 800
tests in the normal Abator build, but this POM only runs 3 of them.

I believe this will end up looking like parent/child projects - but I need to do more research to know for sure.

Site design...wow

Hi all,

I just visited the ActiveMQ site (http://activemq.apache.org/) for the first time.  I was blown away by the site design.  Okay okay....it's simple.  But I seriously didn't recognize it as an Apache project or an OSS project at all....at first glance I thought it was commercial (good/bad...whatever).  I really liked the professionalism of the site design.  It's just a wiki, but they have some serious CSS skills there, because even that isn't noticable to novice or casual business browsers.

Should we update the iBATIS site to look more professional?  My first lazy thought is just to hijack the CSS from AMQ and change some of the colours...  ;-)

Cheers,
Clinton

Re: Site design...wow

Hey, we need a box, too...maybe with that caveman from the Geico commercials.

"iBATIS, so simple even a caveman can do it."

;-)

OK, maybe not, but we could snag something from a template site like
template monster, or oswd.org (if we're feeling cheap).

Re: Site design...wow

Or we could run a mascot contest.  Free signed copies of iIA for the winner to sell on ebay. ;-)

I was actually thinking of suggesting a change to the logo and to the meaning of the name.

Batis is a genus of bird http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Batis_(bird)

We could use one of those cute little buggers as our mascot/logo.
