OK. BTW, TAO 1.6 is very old. TAO 1.7 was recently released, which you
can obtain from http://download.dre.vanderbilt.edu/ under the heading
Latest Micro Release Kit.

OK, so your client is able to contact the server and send invocations.
That's good.

What is the exception?

By registering an upcall it sounds like your JacORB process is also a
server and it is providing an object reference for the TAO process to
use. I don't know wht you mean by interface implementation, but maybe

Re: But with idl-Compiler ami_callback

Hello Werner,

You should submit a bug for this or i am pretty shure it will be lost ;)

Re: Jacorb ClientMessageReceptor threads not released after jacorb.connection.client.idle_timeout expires

Hi Nick,

I tried with version 2.3.1 also, it's the same behavior.

I observed the call hierarchy which is as follows:

ConsumerTie.run() - > MessageReceptor.doWork -> GIOPConnection.receiveMessages ->
GIOPConnection.getMessage -> GIOPConnection.waitUntilConnected

The code snipped for getMessage is as follows:

  private byte[] getMessage()
    {

    	if( ! waitUntilConnected() )
        {
            return null;
        }

        try
        {
            transport.read (msg_header, 0,..........................
		.............

So we always check if( ! waitUntilConnected() ).

The code snippet for waitUntilConnected() is as follows:

   private boolean waitUntilConnected()
    {

Re: Error on SSL Demo: Level2 SecurityImplementation has been removed

Hi,

is it possible, that the error occurs because of the layer2 security pack
isn't delivered with the jacorb 2.3.0/2.3.1 Src Pack?
There is no "layer2" folder in /src/org/jacorb/security

When i checkout the cvs, in /src/org/jacorb/security are some more folders
than in the download archive from the website.
The download archive contains only the folder "sas" ans "ssl" in the
security dir.
But the cvs checkout gives me some more (in my case) empty folders: "jsse",
"layer2", "util".

Is this the reason for my problem?
If yes: Where I can get the content of this folders? How I can integrate
them to my JacORB compile process?

regards,

Michael

Re: Error on SSL Demo: Level2 SecurityImplementation has been removed

Hello, it's me again.

Im still trying to get the ssl demo work with jacorb 2.3.1
The error message is still the same.

At the moment i have installed the iaik libs to my classpath (iaik_jce.jar
and iaik_ssl.jar)
Is this enough to get it work?

(I can only compile the demo, when i copy the org.jacorb.security.level2
folder to my jacorb 2.3.1 from jacorb 2.2.3 because this is the last version
i've found that deliveres this layer2 content. Is that right? Or what did i
wrong?)

I have read some older posts, that talks about jsse libs. What is the
difference between jsse an iaik? What i have to use to get ssl work? jesse
or iaik?
Sorry but I'm a little bit confused about that.

Please, i need some help. SSL support is nessesary for my diploma project.

Michael

SSL: Exception on Client side

Hello together,

i have had some problems with the ssl demo (see:
https://lists.spline.inf.fu-berlin.de/lurker/thread/20090629.212825.e420827e.en.html#20090629.212825.e420827e)
But i didn't found a solution to fix it.

Anyway: Now i'm concentrated on my real project. For this programm i didn't
need to read out the certificates like in the demo. So i setup the
properties file like in the demo, but don't use SSL stuff in my programm
itself. I guess so ssl should work transparent in the background, or?

My server starts without any Problems with the following output:

out param exception - Mico Server and Java client -

All,

I'm using mico on Linux as the server and Java client on vista. I have the following simple IDL on both server
and client.

interface GeologData
{
void connect( in string user, in string password );
void getData( in string command , out wstring inData);
};

In the getData(...) method I want to get the data from the server as a reference to a out parameter ( inData ).
When I run the client I get the following exception on the client.
