[Lenyacms-users] Computerworld / PHP

Hi list,

I have five question and hope you can answer them to me:

1. Why comes in the Computerworld and other publication
the following error: The requested URI "/lenya//do-login" was not found ?

2. How do get the article work? (i.e insert articles manually
by editing files? )
I tried to edit the headline.xml but nothing happened.

3. How does the xslt files wrap the html files?
I don't come behind the transformation by looking through
the xslt files in xslt/live. Is it simply the wrapper.xsl?
Is there anchor where it exchanges the wrapper.xml code?
With the rest I am quit familiar now and I think
it is very good! Compliments!

4. I saw a php generator in the sitemap and read a little bit about it.
Is it possible to execute php scripts through cocoon already or in the
future in xslt files?
I think the execution of php scripts would make Lenya even more
powerful for many different website features.

5. Is it possible to implement xopus on the Computerworld publication
even though it is based on xhtml files?

Very much thanks for any help.
Unfortunately I still run it on Windows. ;)

[Lenyacms-users] content-handler error

Hi,

Running on Win2K with JVM 1.4.1_01-b01, Tomcat 2.1.24 and a binary build of Lenya
(lenya-0.8-dev-bin-20030414044945), with the "endorsed" files from the wyona web site placed in the
tomcat common\endorsed directory(both with and without the previous content). However when I try to
access http:\\localhost:8080\lenya I get a Cocoon2 internal server error:

org.apache.xml.utils.WrappedRuntimeException: The output format must have a '{http://xml.apache.org/xslt}content-handler'

Any ideas?

Cheers,
Paul

[Lenyacms-users] [Fwd: [Lenyacms-dev] asf mail lists created]

Hi folks,

thanks to the kind services of Nicola & Pier, the ASF Lenya lists have
been created.

Please send mail to lenya-dev-subscribe <at> cocoon.apache.org or
lenya-user-subscribe <at> cocoon.apache.org to subscribe yourself, and post
mail to the list using lenya-dev/-user <at> cocoon.apache.org

I'm not on the current wyona-users list, so could you please forward this?

Caveat: there's bound to be issues with ASF web mail archives, so if you
have been using the fine services of Gmane or MARC in the past, don't
forget to let these people know of your changing mail address.

Cheers,

</Steven>

Re: [Lenyacms-users] Status report

I believe that soon there will be a lot more users of Lenya than today,
and none of them will be a Bugzilla-Guru or a person eager to search
for the information all trough the website. Therefore the Roadmap and
the status reports will become quite important and this little bit of
self-marketing could become a real useful feature.

However, it makes absolutely no sense, if the information has to be
entered twice. The status list should be generated automatically. If
you find a way to do this by using the data stored in Bugzilla this
would be the best solution I think.

Markus

PS: Just discovered, that on the Roadmap
<http://www.wyona.org/roadmap.html>
the closed gaps (aka the completed tasks) are marked striketrough.
This might be correct from a developer perspective but not from a
Joe Average's. Why not using black for the completed ones and grey
    for the "to do's"?

[Lenyacms-dev] towards higher-level reuse

we as a community should really share our publications.
as i explain in http://blog.wyona.com/archives/000006.html ,
this will be beneficial for all of us:

identify patterns of common issues
learn from each others real-world experiences
distill the best features into standard publications
reduce implementation costs by converging on standard publications
grow a user innovation network

im very interested in your feedback for this concept, and will
contact some of you offlist as well (knowing how most are
hesitant to post to the list :)

thanks,

-gregor

bug report for windows

Hello everybody,

we tested the last binary version of lenya on our system with mozilla and
with IE 6:

1. the first example computerworld does not work at all. the only site you
get is the starting point but you can not even open the login page.

2. for the default publication the given logins and passwords did not work.
neither lenya and levi nor lenya and oscom did work.

3. lenya documentation: you´ll get there the starting page but you can´t
open the login page as editor. Error: No pipeline matched request:
docs/authoring/
the reader´s view live does work. Use Cases/Tests does not react.

4. at lenya new documentation you will get an error if you want to see the
readers view but you can go on the login page for the editor. the passwords
don´t work.

5. at ETH you won´t accomplish anything. For readers view you will get the
answer document not published yet, for the editor the passwords don´t work and
for the administrator you will get an error when you try to login. Error: No
pipeline matched request: do-login

6. if you try to login as an editor at the forum you will get a page with
errors. the live view works. customizing layout and getting started give an
error.

7. the lenya readers view works but if you try to get to the editors area
you will get an error page.

8. at the new lenya times all logins and passwords don´t work.

9. oscom is the first example where the password matches with the login and
you will get access to the site. here it will try to load the blitflux editor
what does not work. the live version does work, but you won´t get the admin
area.

10. the lenya scratchpad editors page will give you an error message: No
pipeline matched request: scratchpad/authoring/

11. at the slides page you will get an error message when you try to access
the editors page.

12. at the information acrchitekt you will get an error message if you try
to login as editor, reader or administrator.

13. at uni link you will get an error page if you try to get on the login
page of the editor.

14. and finaly the unipublic example is the only page where you can at least
watch the blitflux editor. you can change the text but you can´t save the
file.

So don´t get too upset if you read that practically nothing is working but
this is the truth.

greetings

christian and richard

lenya server

Hello everybody,

we are thinking about buying a new server and to run on it the environment
for the lenya cms. what kind of resources should the server provide to
keep
it going on it for professional use.

It would be nice if you could tell us about the capability the server
should provide and what kind of system would be the most stable for the
lenya
cms. We thought about 512 MB to 1 GB RAM and a Linux System.

 Greeting and thanks,

 Richard and Christian
