Re: version mismatch error

Thanks a ton Bonson.

This resolved my problem. Actually I was compiling the code in other version and putting that on content server. But now it's been resolved.

Thanks to Uttkarsh as well for timely help.

Cheers,
Goldest

Hey Goldest,

Also make sure that the supported version of Java for compiling the code on your machine and the same version of Java is being used on the content server. Sometimes what happens is that we compile our code on a different version and deploy it on the content server which is using a different version of java.

hi,
Such errors may occur if the same sysobject is getting saved more than once. Once a sysobject is saved it should be fetched again in order to make any other change to it.

Check in case you have used save() method for a sysobject more than once without fetching it again.

Thanks,

Hi all,

While processing some data through a job in documentum I have come across error,

[DM_SYSOBJECT_ E_VERSION_ MISMATCH] error:  "save of object failed because of version mismatch: old version was 0"; ERRORCODE: 100

I got the following description from one of the website regarding this,

Severity: ERROR

Message Text: save of object %s of type %s failed because of version mismatch: old version was %d

Cause: The save of an object failed because the version stamp in the object was inconsistent with the version stamp currently stored in the database.

Action: Refetch the object, make the necessary changes and save it again.. PARAMETERS: The identifier of the object, the type of the object and the old value of the version stamp.

I am not able to make out how can I overcome this error? What do I exactly need to do?

Can someone help me out?

Thanks in advance!

Re: Attribute Level security

Hi
I dont think OOTB is providing this kind of facility, but i am sure you can do this by using WDK Customization.

For this create  roles and define which roles will have what attributes privelleges.

Re: version mismatch error

with migration-center (www.fme.de) you can do this migration, maybe not out of the box. but at least in JUST ONE SHOT after a certain customization.
