Re: LDAP Authenitcation

OK for me after upgrade, just copied and pasted the relevant lines from the old config file.

Just wanted to see if anyone has been able to setup the LDAP authentication in the 1.4 release.  I can't seem to get it going.

Thanks

Definately need HELP!!!

Is there anyone on this list who would be willing to look at my MRBS installation (located at ruffingmontessori.net/mrbs) and see where I went wrong? I have had no success in resolving an IIS Password error 500 message. I have deleted and recreated the folder on the server at the suggestion of our Most. I am unable to change read/write/execute settings on the folder through Dreamweaver or Cute FTP. I am on a Windows box using 2003 Server and ColdFusion. Other PHP/MySQL apps are running correctly. My next step is to abandon MRBS and find something else.

Definately need HELP!!!

Is anyone on this list willing to take a look at my installation (located at ruffingmontessori.net/mrbs) and tell me why I am unable to resolve an IIS Password error 500 message? I uploaded the Blowfish, Mail and Net folders, and all of the files in the root to /mrbs on the server. Should I also have uploaded the mrbs-1.4 folder? I am unable to set security on the folder through Dreamweaver or through Cute FTP. No matter what I do I am unable to get past the IIS message. My Host suggested deleting and recreating the /mrbs folder, which I have done. My next step is to delete MRBS and find something else.

Re: Definately need HELP!!!

[For the benefit of the list]

I've contacted Lauren separately and deleting the .htaccess file does the trick.

Re: Definately need HELP!!!

It seems as if you have an add on for IIS called IISPassword

http://www.iis.net/downloads/default.aspx?tabid=34&g=6&i=1282

but here’s a “solution” but as everything on the Internet, use at your own risk.

https://help.webstrikesolutions.com/index.php?_m=knowledgebase&_a=viewarticle&kbarticleid=178

ps

Are you able to make changes to this add-on?

rep_for_weekly entry in language files

This is currently (for (n-)weekly), I think it would be a little clearer if
it was (for n-weekly or weekly) to show that it is required for both repeat
types, not just n-weekly. Or maybe I should just learn Lisp :)

I'm also not sure if the original has been translated in all languages
correctly - most seem ok - but I'm not so sure about fr and de. I don't
speak French or German, so I'm not certain about it.

Chris.

How to share my work on mrbs?

I've been using mrbs (integrated into my moodle- from here http://moodle.org/mod/data/view.php?d=13&rid=734&filter=1 ) and have done quite a bit of customisation. It is used in a FE college and as such lot's of the customisations are around booking/moving classrooms, so might not be applicable to everyone but there is quite a lot there (lists of rooms on edit_entry only show empty rooms, there is a system to forcibly book and automatically reschedule the current bookings, a personal timetable feature are what comes to mind immediately, but there are all sorts of minor tweaks about the place)

I have tried simply attaching my modified code to this list but it gets rejected as (I assume) it's too big. Is there somewhere I can put this code? If anyone's interested I can send them a direct email with it attached.

Mike

Re: How to share my work on mrbs?

Yes - I'd be interested.   If you send me a direct mail with the code attached, I'll take a look and see what might be of general interest and look at putting it into the system.   (Might take a few weeks though ...)
