increase size of description

hello list

how i can increase the size of description (Kurzbeschreibung) ? can you give me
a hint where is this parameter set?
We have seen that when we insert more than about 50 charakters the entry is not
saved - without error-message - is it also  possible to give out an errore
message ?

Bookings in the past

Hello,

I had a user who, accidentally, submitted a booking 1 year back in time 
  probably because he started from an old bookmark.
I think it should only be possible to have bookings in the future.
I added a few lines in edit_entry_handler.php to reject bookings in the 
past.

# Reject bookings in the past
$this_day = date("d");
$this_month = date("m");
$this_year = date("Y");

if( ($year < $this_year) ||
     (($month < $this_month) ||
     (($day < $this_day) && ($month <= $this_month)) &&
     ($year <= $this_year)) )
{
     showAccessDenied($day, $month, $year, $area);
     exit;
}

This snipped can also be used in del_entry.php to reject deletion of old 
bookings in case you need it e.g. for accounting purposes.

This works so far, but didn't test it with repeating entries.

very usefulll for me to.
how i insert the condition if the user is not a administrator  then reject
bookings in the past else allow it  ?

a certain day is writable

thank you for the fast help 

i want ask for another wish :
i want that i one room or one area only a certain day is writable.
for example in the area A only on mondays there are entries allowed and on the
other days no.

maybe sombody have the code to do this

If we put this enhancement in the mainstream code, then I think it should be 
implemented either as an option that's enabled by a flag in the config file, 
or else, preferably, by putting up a warning saying "Warning: you are about 
to book a room for a date in the past.   Would you like to continue?".   (Or 
possibly both).

I find it quite useful for accounting purposes to be able to enter bookings 
in the past.     We run reports on "room" usage to justify the expenditure 
on them and when people forget to book a "room", it is useful to be able to 
add it retrospectively.

Viewing only weekdays?

Hello,

Is there a way in which I can make the default views exclude Saturday and
Sunday? I would like them still to be available, but hidden by default.

MRBS development

I'm a developer working for a Public Library that's in the process of replacing our current event
scheduling application, Web Event.  We recently chose MRBS, but we know it will not entirely meet our
needs.  As a result, I'll be extending the application a fair amount to add in the extra feature
requirements.  We support the open source model, and I'm writing to ask whether you feel my efforts would be
useful to you or not.  The additions will be fairly specific to the needs of our library, but I intend to
structure the features in a more universal and modular way wherever possible.  And in any case I wanted to
let you know of the project in case you're in the very least interested in our install of MRBS.
