mobile interface

I recently migrated my tracks to a hosted server and have been checking out the mobile interface.  Really cool and will help me greatly.  My question is, is there any documentation on the mobile capabilities or what not?  How do I find out more?

Thanks
Tim

Re: mobile interface

I don't think there are any docs on the mobile capabilities. It would be great to have some, though. ;-)

On that topic, I'd like to get an iPhone-friendly UI going for Tracks 2.0.

Cheers from NYC, and Happy New Year!

Re: mobile interface

Ok, perhaps I can try my hand at documenting it, but I will need to know more about what is there.

As to the iPhone, I would hate to see the project code something specific to a particular mobile device.  It seems to me that most of the more advanced mobiles out there have browsers with robust capabilities (especially the ones that will be on the market by the time tracks 2.0 comes out :) and we should look to work across a broad cross section of devices.  The main issue to deal with is screen width in my mind (not that I have thought about it that much...)

Best,
Tim

Re: mobile interface

Hi,

I'm working on improving the mobile interface. It currently lacks features that the non-mobile interface has, see http://dev.rousette.org.uk/ticket/567
(The patch is not yet updated to the latest trunk)

Perhaps there are some specifics for the iPhone we could include...

Chronic

First, thanks for the great application! I had a list of things to try
adding to the stable version only to learn the work had already been
done in trunk:)

Second, I was wondering if there were any thoughts on using Chronic
(http://chronic.rubyforge.org/) for date input? It parses dates and
times from natural English input: 'next tuesday', 'in two weeks', etc.

My personal preference would be to use this for date input with the
calendar only popping up via a hotkey or click. I have it working with
the calendar disabled, which is probably good enough for me, but if
there was interest I could look at a more polished integration this
weekend.

Apologies if this has already been discussed, I only went back a few
months in the archives...

Cheers,
Troy

trac account?

This may just be something obvious that I'm missing, but how do I
create a trac account so that I can get emailed when issues I file get
updated?

Luis

P.S. I updated to trunk this afternoon, and so far it generally looks
great- thanks to all involved.

FWIW, this is not a problem in Tracks trunk.

Chiming in even later from the wilderness... I was surprised not to
see Kareem's proposed behavior in trunk. I want to be able to drag
URIs into fields and have that Just Work.

Would anyone object if I reopened #281?

There is a shared Trac account GUEST/GUEST that anyone can use to add
or modify tickets. When you create a ticket, put your email address in
the first box and you'll be notified of changes.

Full-fledged Trac accounts have to be created by hand by bsag at the
moment, and come with SVN commit rights, which we generally extend
after a couple of good patches to the project.

Great. Any help you can provide in getting a release out would be
good. We're overdue. :-)

Cheers from NYC,
Luke

Please do. The absence of this annoys me from time to time.
