Problem with Joomla+Mantis integration

Hi all,

    I need some help to integrate Joomla and Mantis in order to have a single 
login for users of my web site.

The only chance I've seen is the one described at

http://www.mantisbt.org/wiki/doku.php/mantisbt:faq

that is, using the package provided at

http://nuy.info/downloads/index.php?dir=Developments%20by%20CMS/Mambo/mantis/

However, it didn't work on my configuration: the passwords were not transferred 
from a system to the other (in either direction).

I have no idea of what went wrong. I can guess that it is the mantis component 
for Joomla that dont't ask me the database name for Mantis passwords, but I have 
no idea.

Please, I need some help.

IMHO is possible on joomla, enable LDAP on joomla and Mantis, then you 
will have one and only one password repository

main and subprojects

Hi,
when i create a sub project and added some categories in it,it also
appears in main project ,how can i delete that?

i don't want categories added in subproject to appear in main project.

How to adjust the layout when report issue?

Hi,

I want to show the following fields when report an issue in simple mode (not advanced). Is there any simple way to resolve my problem? Thanks

“Product build” “Assign to”.

And I want to show some custom fields above the field “summary”. How can I do this?

Unfortunately, I cannot use LDPA because I am on a commercial server which 
likely does not have such support...

Does exist any other option ?

Hi Zhang,

You will have to customize the bug_report_page.php. You can copy the bits you need from bug_report_advanced_page.php. Both the simple and advanced page are processed by the same action logic which is in bug_report.php. So by just adding the form entries, all the processing will automagically happen!!!

Custom Field - Enumeration field length

I seem to have hit the maximum length for the Enumeration field, is
there any way that I can extend the length of that field so I can
continue to add new items to that Custom Field?

privilege to see summary

As I understood the privilege to see summary of bugs in mantis is only for manager and administrator .

Then if we want to give this privilege to a quality person ,where he just want to see the summary of bugs,we have to give the full privilege of a manager to him.

What is your opinion on this?

You can control the access level required to view the summary using the following configuration option. For example, you can allow your developers to see the summary by changing from MANAGER to DEVELOPER.

# threshold for viewing summary
$g_view_summary_threshold = MANAGER;
