Attached files, changing from Database to Disk

Hi,

I'm wondering what the best process would be to change from using the
database to using the disk for storing attachments. 

Do I have to go through every bug and right click and save the files and
then upload to a particular directory? Which directory if so (couldnt
see a config line)? and then update the config_inc file to say DISK?
Will the existing bugs link to the files on disk then?

Please report this in the http://bugs.mantisbt.org.  At the moment there
is no easy way to do it.  You have to download all attachments, delete
them from the bugs, and re-upload them.

In my opinion we can use one of the following solutions:
- Have a script that moves all attachments to disk and adjusts the
database.
- Or add a field to the database that reflects where each attachment is
stored.  If the admin wants to switch to disk, then all new attachments
would move to disk but the already existing ones will remain in the
database.

How to change the order of sort

Hi,

my users of mantis want to change the order in which are bugs sortet 
when the sort by "Status <view_all_set.php?sort=status&dir=DESC&type=2>" 
-> default is

 new->acknowledged->confirmed->assigned->resolved

Is there a way to change this?
(edit a php file or db?)

application error #200

Hey All,

I'm trying to report a bug, with all of the required, and even ALL the
fields filled in and i get the same application error: "A required
parameter to this page was not found.", and directions to go back and
fix it.

Heres what I'm running:
- Win2k
- PHP 4.2.2
- Mantis 0.8.2
- Apache 1.3.27

PHP globals are on. I'm able to log in and do everything, just get this
error when trying to report a bug. Any ideas?

Re: application error #200

So here is an update, just in case anyone out there is reading this
list...

I turned off the file upload feature and now I can submit bugs, even
though file uploads is enabled in php.ini. I also tried both DISK and
DATABASE file storage, which yielded the same error (#200). 

Obviously this isn't the best cure for the situation, so I'm still
looking for ideas out there as to what the problem may be.

Bug 0003296 MS Word Chars application error #200

Hi,

I've seen the Bug 0003296 <bug_view_advanced_page.php?bug_id=0003296> 
and 0002100  and i want to know if there is someone how has a 
workaround, because my users of mantis are masters of copy in word an 
paste in mantis and so i to fix it ....

New install quits on DB tests?

I just installed 18.2 on an up-to-date Fedora Core box. When I run
admin/check.php, I get a warning:

 "SYSTEM WARNING: Missing argument 2 for config_obsolete()"

Then it starts checking, it prints the message:

 "Opening connection to database on host [localhost:3306] with username
[root]"

And then the page stops loading. If I didn't know better, it would look as
if it were done checking! I have confirmed the database connection through
port 3306, I have also checked $g_path and it looks good. Can anyone offer
some tips on how to diagnose this problem?

Test scripts for MantisBT

I'm working on updating the port of Mantis to the XOOPS CMS 
(http://www.xoops.org/, port project site is on http://dev.xoops.org/).  
Are there any test scripts you have set up for Mantis?  I'd like to run 
through them if available, just to make sure everything is working 
correctly.
