Adding comments to bug attached files ?

Hello,

I would like to comment a file when I attach it to a bug. (Give it a name would be enough)
I couldn't find out how to do that. Is it possible ?

Version : 0.17.5

(Oh, by the way, it seems it is impossible to upload a file with a single quote in the name.)

problems sending some mail

I have a new installation, using 0.18.0rc1 on Windows 2000. I've set the
same email address for all options in config_inc. I've also created 2
accounts, each with that same email address.

When I create a bug report with one of the users (developer) I get the
message listed below. When I create a bug report with the admin account,
the email is sent correctly. I can send a reminder without any problem
from the developer account, to either account. The email sent for new
accounts is also sent correctly.

Any ideas about how I can fix this?

Thanks in advance,
David

File Upload Problem

Dear Sir,

I have installed the latest version of Mantis 0.17.5
bug tracking system.
Everything works great except file uploading.getting
ERROR: The file type is disallowed but I have allowed
in config file can u please tell how do i
solve this problem.and the configuration is same as
follwoing
configuration .
Installed Packages
php-4.2.2-8.0.5,mysql-3.23.52-3,Apache web server etc.

In Mantis configuration file: config_defaults_inc.php
or config_inc.php
$g_allow_file_upload = ON;
$g_max_file_size = 2000000; # 2 MB
$g_file_upload_method = DATABASE;

In the PHP configuration file : /etc/php.ini
upload_max_filesize = 2M

In the php Apache module : /etc/httpd/conf.d/php.conf
The variable is
LimitRequestBody (default to 512kB)
<Files *.php>
SetOutputFilter PHP
SetInputFilter PHP
LimitRequestBody 2097152
</Files>

If the update method is DATABASE, MySQL can also limit
the file size
In /etc/my.cnf the variable max_allowed_packet must be
defined.
[mysqld]
datadir=/var/lib/mysql
socket=/var/lib/mysql/mysql.sock
set-variable = max_allowed_packet=5000000

Default Project Preference Does Nothing

When a user logs in, Mantis 0.18.0rc1 sets the current project to the
project that was selected the last time the user logged out.

I would like to see this:
In My Account | Preferences | Default Project:
    All Projects (or No Projects)
    Last Project You Accessed
    Project 1
    Project 2
    etc

Currently the options are:
    All Projects
    Project 1
    Project 2
    etc

However it doesn't matter what is selected as the Default Project, since
whenever a user logs in it remembers the last project.

Thanks,
Trevor Croft

File Downloads corrupted with CRLF at begining

Server is NT4 + PHP 4.3.1 + MySQL 3.23.49 + Mantis 0.18.0rc1 + Apache
1.3.24 . Clients are generally XP SP1 (i.e. IE 6)

When we try and download an attachment, it corrupts it with a CRLF at
the beginning. Then for some reason it makes the file the same size and
thus drops the last two characters off.

As far as I can tell, the files are fine in database suggesting it isn't
an upload problem. Old files that definitely used to work now don't

A Mac running OSX doesn't have the problem, although that could be due
to it's zip utility ignoring the initial CRLF. Lynx under Linux also
gets the extra CRLF. The Linux unzip I have also manages to get around
the CRLF with no problems. Winzip doesn't handle the CRLF. We're not
sure about .zip or binary files originally worked since there aren't a
lot

It also does the same thing to BMP/JPEG/GIF attachments that would
normally be displayed inline - they now show up as red crosses (ie
broken). This definitely used to work.

I appears to affect all files. Even ones ending in suffixes like .bin,
.scb and .raw. The last two are custom ones for our software.

It never did this before. So you say what have I changed? The only thing
I have changed recently (that relates to Mantis) is the fix for the
correct path when sending a reminder. I haven't rebooted the thing since
it needs to be on all the time - but if anyone thinks that might fix it,
I can organize it. I did install Apache 2.0.48 but on another port until
I move Mantis over to it.

I had a bit of search through mantis for mantis, but couldn't find any
similar problems.

Any ideas?

Christian

OK I have fixed it myself. What a shocker this was. Somehow when I
manually modified core/email_api.php to fix the reminder link problem
fixed here:

http://cvs.sourceforge.net/viewcvs.py/mantisbt/mantisbt/core/email_api.p
hp?r1=1.61&r2=1.62

an extra CR/LF ended up at the very end of the file i.e. outside the
<?php ?>. During all the include stages (3 or 4 levels worth) of
file_download.php, this CR/LF was passed through and when the bin file
was downloaded it ended up with the CR/LF at the beginning.

So problem solved but it does sound like a pretty big trap for people.
One blank line outside the <?php ?> seems OK from the previous CR/LF.
However as soon as a CR/LF is outside or at least a non space character,
it ripples through. The extra CR/LF was appearing on every file that had
email_api.php included. With the main PHP/HTML pages and text
attachments, this wasn't a problem. However as soon as a binary file was
served it fell to pieces.

Is there anything that can be done development wise to prevent this from
happening? I have no idea what could possibly prevent this from
occurring. I'm CCing this to the developers list.

0.18.0 status?

Howdy,

I'm seeing 0.17.5 on the mantisbt homepage, but there is a 0.18.0
(2003-12-07 22:00) for download on sf. I found no announcement of any kind
and the mailing list archives are not working.

Does that mean 0.18.0 stable is released ?

Hmmm... strange. Nothing has been mentioned here. The fact that nothing
has been announced would suggest it isn't released officially. Very
strange. Without an announcement, I would never have looked at the
sourceforge page.

Yes, it's been released. Ken was still supposed to send the announcement.
I'll ask about it.

Email notification on New Bug only for certain projects

I am a developer using mantis 0.18.0rc1 I am notified of all new bugs
entering the system regardless of project. Is there a way I can only be
notified of new bugs in a certain project?

Thank you,
