new bug hook

hi,

i was thinkink on developing a ruby/gtk/trayicon/libnotification
frontend for users to report new bugs, get a list of their reports/
statuses, unless there already is a frontend for that.
the list is simple, i could read the db, no changes here,
but for the reporting part i'd need a hook in flyspray, or an external
php script to call, to tell flyspray there is a new report, send the
notifications, and do watever needed.

any ideas on that?

You could use the same "hook" as the HTML form on new task dialog uses - 
just POST the variables to the script. Of course it wouldn't be very 
simple, as there are custom categories, versions and almost everything else.

thank you for your answer.
i just did POST a new task into my test flyspray installation with cli
php, recieved flyspray's notification. it's good.
only one thing left: i had to post it with anon_email.
i still have to think about if this is okay for me, or i'll need to
read the registered users' table before the post and than figure out
how to auth first.

Can't report bug in flyspray, because your BST doesn't work properly,
I'm getting next error message:

found out later, db user had only SELECT,INSERT,UPDATE,DELETE
privileges, e.g. not enough privileges to modify db structure. This is
probably the cause. I think, there should be some validation, whether
db has been successfully upgraded or not, at /setup/upgrade.php.,

a default value)

We are aware of this problems, our BTS runs a develpment version of
flyspray that can be broken at any time, in fact, I broke it :-D will
be fixed soon.
