How do I manage subversion for flyspray?

Hi Guys,

I haven't really been doing anything I said I'd do yet. Not because I 
can't, just because I keep getting really confused trying to work with 
multiple working copies with different changes etc.. Nothing that I've 
said I'll work on is for the 0.9.8 release so it's not really a huge 
deal for the moment, but i'd like to know how others (with read-only 
access) work with subversion for flyspray.

My main problem is, I made some significant changes in the advanced 
search patch i made that i want to base some new changes on, so the way 
I see it I have two choices.

Option 1. Make the changes to a working copy with the advanced search 
patch applied.
or
Option 2. Make the changes to a fresh working copy.

The problem with option 1 is that once I've finished the changes for the 
new feature i then have to go through and figure out all the changes 
that aren't part of the advanced search patch so that i can create the 
new patch.

The problem with option 2 is that I'd either have to reimplement the 
stuff i need from the advanced search patch, or copy bits of the 
advanced search in and then split them out again later.

All in all it's just going to be a huge mess, so i've just been avoiding 
it. If anyone has any suggestions then i'm all ears. Otherwise i'll just 
wait till after 0.9.8 is released so that the advanced search patch can

I felt that I should reply since no-one else has, but you're not going
to like my reply.  I don't have IIS, or a Windows computer, so I cannot
support Flyspray on IIS.  Some Flyspray + IIS users have successfully
got it up and running; hopefully they will reply soon.

Does it works on Linux?
I was wondering if this is a missing feature. If it's working, I'll try to
find what the problem is and post it here.

Hi.

I tried to install Flyspray on IIS and gave up in the end.  There was
much less trouble installing FS on Apache.

It certainly does.  My main computer runs Ubuntu Linux, and the Flyspray
website runs on Debian.

Commented out all rewriting lines in .htaccess, as webservers throw errors if
 they don't support mod_rewrite.

Are you removing the feature?  I know that most apps that support
mod_rewrite make it a flag in the app to determine which URL functions
should be generating so that you can do it either way with a config
switch.

I'm not quite sure about your intentions, but...

Options are:
split development and create another branch in repository for advanced
search, then merge some time in the future
make two pathes/diff files for advanced search; something like:
	Rev1:version 0.9.7 ;) -> R2:adv.search phase 1 applied -> R3:other
unrelated changes -> R4:adv.search phase 2
Thus 'svn diff -rR1:R2' would be the first and 'svn diff -rR3:R4' the
second advanced search patch
play a bit with advanced... reverse patch functionality ;) (patch -R)
to eliminate changes not related with search functions

Absolutely not.  I love the mod_rewrite.  It's just that my home box
doesn't have it working, and having all the rules enabled in
the .htaccess causes Flyspray to NOT work at all.  Docuwiki ships with
the rules commented out, so I figure that Flyspray can, too.
