strange error..

i am getting a strange error, i will explain it here.
but, i tried doing it at the flyspray's own flyspray and found out that i can't add a new task anymore.
is this the new setting for non-core users of the tool or something?

anyway, we have as many as 700 tasks spread across 15 projects with various status.
when i choose individual projects, the tool works quite fine.
but, when i choose the all-projects option, it gives me this error.

see attached image:-

thanks.

I've been adjusting the address rewriting, and some things were broken while I
was doing that. (I am unable to test address rewriting on my dev computer, so
I have to use the Flyspray server). I think that it's fixed now.

So when you select "all projects" from the project selector, it gives you a
cyclic URL? That's interesting, it doesn't do it on my Flyspray...

Re: strange error..

Are you using IIS as a web server? I've gotten this error a few times
when using Firefox and IIS, but not enough to know whether or not I was
just going crazy.

Re: strange error..

I am using it on a Mac OSX, running it on Apache.
I don't think it is a problem with the webserver.
And, I also don't think the error-message is in any way indicative of the actual problem.

The worst thing about this error is, keep trying once or twice, the third time it works just fine.

Integrate usernames from apache protected site?

Hello,

I've got a site already with all my developers in an
htpasswd protected apache directory. The users login
using HTTP auth and everything is great.

I'd like to make flyspray read the username from the
REMOTE_USER var, and not worry about the password.

Can someone point me to the best place in flyspray to
modify? Basically, I'd like to replace the auth
function with $username=$REMOTE_USER; and comment out
the password test. :)

Thanks, and nice work.

pre-filled details

Hi all

I am very nice to use Flyspray for our ocean model.
I'd like to know if there is a way to propose a pre-filled form in the
heading "details" when opening a task. Typically for our needs
it would be something to be completed by senders like :

I.Work Platform:
----------------
II. List of cpp keys used:
---------------------------
III. Error message:
------------------
IV. Induced routines:
--------------------

Thanks

unable to install locally: help!

Sorry to bother you folks with this stupid question :(

I have been unable to install flyspray locally - every time I hit the
error "The path to adodb.inc.php wasn't set correctly."

I have installed the /adobd/ directory within /flyspray/ but everything
I try just stalls out with the above error.

I have EasyPHP installed on my machine.

helpp!!!!

I think this is a great idea. If you get it working let us know and
send the code back so that we can have that as an option for everyone
else.

What a great idea. Perhaps one day we can integrate something like this when
we have pluggable authentication routines.

Note: this advice assumes that you're using the development version, whose
codebase is significantly different to the 0.9.7 release.

Let me think.... to avoid drastic code changes, you'd still need to have a
Flyspray user account set up for each developer. Just use the same username
for the Flyspray account as the one in REMOTE_USER. A password is required
for each user account, but it could be anything since you don't want to use
it later.

Remove all cookie checks in /index.php, lines 45 through 51. There is another
one around line 227.

Line 54 is a call to getUserDetails. You will need to change it to a custom
query instead, like this one (untested!):

$current_user = $db->FetchArray( $db->Query("SELECT * FROM {$dbprefix}_users
WHERE user_name = ?", array($REMOTE_USER) ) );

I'm sure that there are other small things that need doing, but that should
get you started. Feel free to ask more questions if you like. Note there
are certainly other places in Flyspray where it refers to the
'flyspray_userid' cookie. These should be replaced by references to
$current_user['user_id'].

Regards

Tony
