i have subscribed the nova-dev list to gmane, which means, that one can
read the list via
- web-browser: http://dir.gmane.org/gmane.comp.audio.nova.devel
- news-reader: news://news.gmane.org/gmane.comp.audio.nova.devel

posting still requires a subscription to the list ...

on locking operations, objectholders traverse the patch hierarchy from the
environment root down to the children, locking bindlist operations
traverse the tree from the leaves to the root ...

one way of traversing is not allowed to be blocking ... 
in contrary to the objectholder operations, the bindlist operations are

hi all,

i've spent some time on fixing some older bugs ... the hardest one
turned out to be an issue of the garbage collector for python-qt, which
crashed nova, when the python garbage collector was executed from a
non-qt thread ... 
i also worked on the nova/python wrapper and the package
python-qt/boost-python/nova seems to work pretty well now ...

so, feel free to test & complain if something is broken ... :)
