[mb-users] How to enter this box set?

How should a CD box set like this be entered?

http://www.amazon.com/All-Time-Dave-Brubeck/dp/B0001FGB9I

It's a box around 5 albums each in their own jewel case which look
completely like individual albums, including unique barcodes. The box
itself has a unique barcode.

this is a collection of individual albums indeed:
http://www.cduniverse.com/search/xx/music/pid/6675186/a/For+All+Time.htm
> The box set FOR ALL TIME contains: TIME OUT (1959)/TIME FURTHER OUT
> (1961)/TIME IN OUTER SPACE (1962)/TIME CHANGES (1964)/TIME IN (1966).

i would enter a 5cd release with the barcode and the cat# of the whole
box. additional add the individual barcodes to annotation of the box set.
if the albums as they are in the box where released also separately you
can add them also (duplicating the box-set and removing the the other CDs
while duplicating) with each their own barcode/cat#.
also if you can't find out if they were available on their own i wont
oppose adding them too since (imho) it cannot harm too much if their
barcode is searchable too.

best,

[mb-users] Small call for testing on /release pages

Hey,

In order to try and fix MBS-3841, I've replaced the entire template with
a different engine (XSlate), in the hope that this will render the page
in an adequate amount of time. As this is such a huge change, I would
really like to get people to do some testing before this even goes to
code review and live beta testing.

The only page that has changed is the release page -
/release/{mbid}. The layout and the contents of the page are all coming
from new templates, so please check I haven't created any bad links or
missed any important information. I'm aiming for just about identical
HTML, though I'm willing to let some irrelevent whitespace changes
happen.

The RDFa output is missing on this page too, but once I've got a "looks
good" from the community, I'll tack that on and get this out for review.

Thanks!
- Ollie

Doh, as reosarevok pointed out, this testing should happen on
*test.musicbrainz.org*.

I knew I'd missed something out :)

Hi,

Comparing http://test.musicbrainz.org/release/1677c481-82f5-4168-9c6e-6926078c2d19 and http://musicbrainz.org/release/1677c481-82f5-4168-9c6e-6926078c2d19 the page on the test server doesn't show cover art in Firefox 11 beta.

The "Hide credits" option in the columns headers isn't there anymore.

The [Remove | Edit ] links at the bottom appear although I am not logged.

Title of the page (head:title) is also different:
"MusicBrainz - The Open Music Encyclopedia"
vs
"Release “The Four Piano Concertos (Concertgebouw Orchestra feat.
conductor: Bernard Haitink, piano: Vladimir Ashkenazy)” by Сергей
Васильевич Рахманинов - MusicBrainz"

It would be nice to be able to test the page with the RDFa output included
beforehand, since a few userscripts depend on it.

I tried a couple of pseudo-random releases and they worked fine (I'm
not familiar enough with page contents to pick out the details.

I tried this (based on the MBS-3841)

  http://test.musicbrainz.org/release/88eb1012-a181-325c-bd6e-2cdc9b4b5414

and it timed out.

Do you have any benchmarking numbers for the transition to XSlate?

Nothing hugely concrete, but I'm seeing a 47s request drop to 33s on my
machine. Sadly, 33s is still too slow though (and that's the release you
posted above).
