Chord Diagram Names

When putting chord diagrams in the Chord line, is there any way to use names such as CM7 instead of Cmaj7. Or to
use symbols like the "half-diminished" circle with a slash through it for a dim7 chord, or a triangle for a
major chord?

I think Musedit has to use it's particular nomenclature so that it can transpose the names, but are there any work-arounds?

Thanks

Unexpected File Format

Has anybody found a way around the "Unexpected File Format" fiasco?

I hadn't used MusEdit for a couple of years, and now that I need to use it it doesn't work.

Playback Cursor Hangs Up On Playback

On occasion and frequently the cursor stops tracking the music yet the playback continues. I can't stop the
playback nor can I create a loop. I am using Windows 7 and the current version of Musedit. Anyone else has
this problem? Solution appreciated...

First and Second Endings

Is there a way during playback to have musedit properly recognize first and second endings? I have found
that only a right edge bracket works for first endings and only a left edge bracket works for second endings.

At the top of the main screen, click on Show/Hide Chord Diagram.

Thanks for the suggestion, but a chord line includes a chord diagram. I just wanted the chord name w/o the
diagram.

Distance from staff line to text line

Hi,

I have a staff line with simple notes that do not go above the staff. Above that I have a text line for chord
names. But the chord names appear very high above the staff, is there a way to get the text line closer to the
staff line.

Any help appreciated.

ALSO NEW MEMBER

Hi everyone, I havn't used my Musedit in awhile ... Figured I would see if there was an upgrade from the 3.5
something I had. (just downloaded latest from your site ..Thank You).
As things are always changing, I should not have been surprised to see the website gone.
I found your group from a WIKI search.
I use it for drum notation. For awhile I was making my sheet music using my AutoCad LT program. A little
tedious, but interesting.
Anyway looking forward to reading up on past & future posts.

Hi, folks. I just discovered MusEdit, and it looks like just what I need. I broke my left arm in three places
last June, and despite physical therapy (until the insurance company decided to stop paying for it) I
still can't straighten my fingers all the way. I hope I'm wrong, but I think it'll be at least two years
before I can play my classical guitar again. At least with MusEdit I'll be able to have accompaniment when I
sing, and learn new songs that their authors post on their own web pages. Now to read the manual in my copious
spare time.

Regards, everybody. Margret

Re: MusEdit manual

You are welcome, Fred, it is as I noted a LibreOffice export-to-pdf, and so not perfect. I'm glad it is a
little more useful, and hope that Lindsay's scan works.
